SBI Debit Card Charges Revised w.e.f. From 01.04.2024

State Bank of India revised their debit card fees effective from 1st April, 2024.
No communication received from bank regarding revision of charges. Just have been updated on their website.


The minimum debit card fee was Rs. 125 + GST. Now it’s Rs. 200 + GST, a 60% increase.
They have raised each debit card fee by Rs. 75.

As per the RBI's latest guidelines, banks must send notice/communication to their customers 30 days prior to any product feature-related changes. However, in this case, State Bank of India didn’t follow RBI guidelines. Will RBI take this matter seriously and penalize SBI and set an example? I don’t think it’s going to happen. The RBI just closes their eyes when it comes to SBI.

I am getting points for IndusInd load, Kotak 811 load, Amazon wallet load, Mobikwik wallet load, Airtel wallet load & Slice wallet load. Have these apps only so can confirm about these apps only.

If u are able to login to yono app
Click on cards > debit card > apply virtual cards and select rupay global card
It will get generated instantly
One more thing if u want to avoid amc charges
Permanent close your physical card

Fark parta hai bhai. PSU Bank ka Core network partner RuPay hai.

Jada RuPay issue nahi hua toh Govt aur paglo ki tarah kuch new new laws pass karega aur Visa/mastercard ki band bajwayega.

Dekho RuPay Card ka market share badhana hai, Visa/mastercard ka forcefully restriction nahi lagwana hai har jagha se.

Par govt bhi galat nahi hai, Yaha RuPay/Visa/mastercard ka benefit same hai aur PSU bank ka core network partner RuPay hai phir bhi log bina matlab k visa/mastercard apply karega toh Govt ko force karna parega na.

Mai pichle 2-4 saalo me bahot bar bola hu. Ki RuPay logo ko suggest karo warna Govt khud kuch kadam uthayega aur ab logo ko dekhne bhi laga hai.

Ek aur baat hamesa se bolta aaya hu HDFC, SBI, Axis, ICICI, etc he RuPay Card ka owner hai. Gangadhar he Shaktimaan hai aur Shaktimaan he Gangadhar hai.

Bas abhi RuPay ek for-profit company nahi hai isiliye banks force nahi karta ha. Jis din for-profit company bana diya govt RuPay Card ko. Phir dekhna Banks sirf RuPay issue karega. Par isme decades lagne wale hai. Kyunki International explanation se pahele nahi karne wala hai govt.

Yes you can block the debit card. And better get a virtual DC, it doesn't have any fees
