SBI cashback card cashback issue

I just received my first statement for the SBI CB card.
The cashback is shown in the statement but is not deducted in the outstanding amount.
The GST for the joining fee is not shown but it's reflected in the statement.

What can I do regarding the cashback not being deducted in the statement?

It was always credited against outstanding amount of your last statement. So wait for your next statement to reflect it or check 2 days later of your statement date, you will see its reflected as credited in your account.

Thanks. Will wait for a couple of days and see.
Will probably pay the extra amount to avoid the risk and check if the CB has been deducted in the next statement.
Trying to play the bill here.
The outstanding amount is detected automatically.
I also see the option to pay using credit card.
What's the catch here?

You will find this feature for all the banks/CC companies which are part of BBPS bill payment system. The bill amount is fetched automatically and the settlement is instant.

However, the payment using CC will normally fail.
