Infinia RedGiraffe payment via hdfc bill pay using credit card marked as RENTALBBPSNO instead of HDFC BILLPAY this time

Hi all,

Looks like HDFC has patched redgiraffe payment option as well in bill pay option via credit card.

Now payment email contains remarks as RENTALBBPSNO instead of HDFC BILLPAY when payment made to redgiraffe via credit credit using hdfc bill pay.

I don’t think we will get rewards points anymore on this. I will get to know in few days once amount is settled.

Does anyone else have received reward points after getting remarks as RENTALBBPSNO via hdfc bill pay ?

Yes Billpay Smartpay means auto debit. Will auto debit gove reward points or that is also parched now?

Smartpay(auto debit) didn't work in my case. Had to manually trigger it.(no RPs)

My smartpay for this month worked and gave me RP
Only catch is that I needed to approve smartpay transaction in the email I received from HDFC which was like 18 days ago

Yeah, Now it's hit or miss kind of scenario. Anyways, I think RBI is going to ban these rent payment services through CC in next few months. Till then I am using my plastic DCB as it helps to reach monthly and yearly milestones. So profitable even without reward points

yes that would be helpful.. i am thinking should I pay this month or not.
Also only if you pay via smartpay then there is a chance, right? If I pay directly on billpay there is no chance.
