RBL is denying the payments made through Cheq.

I tried 2 pay my credit card bill on Cheq using my RBL debit card. RBL is denying payment by saying that I've attempted at non compliant merchant as per RBI regulations. Does Cheq not comply with RBI regulations? Have anyone faced the same issue?

I had the same issue when trying to make payment using the RBL visa signature plus debit card. Checked with their customer care and received reply that they have temporarily stopped accepting payments done via BL debit cards and asked me to use UPI.
