ofcourse, to cancel the card!! as I'm not able to reap any points out of it due to MCC change and neither am I willing to pay for such a card.

Also If I want to retain the account will have to apply for another debit card or virtual debit card ?

just blocking wont do it I guess. RBL wants you to go to the bank for anything and everything.
I suppose you will have to have some sort of a card to use the a/c. Not sure if RBL has virtual DC.
Have to call up their cust care at +91226232777 or walk into a branch and ask.
I didnt cancel yet since my renewal is in Feb 2026. If I cant hit the 3 L spends on it, will cancel the whole a/c by then. Also my branch is like 40kms away, so not keen on making that trip just now.

Don't think you can downgrade the debit card.
I plan to close the account itself near to debit card renewal this year...
