My friend is a central government employee who has now been enrolled under the National Pension Scheme (NPS). As h no longer wish to continue with my Provident Fund (PF) account, he has been attempting to withdraw the balance available in it.
Previously, he submitted a withdrawal request for ₹90,000, but only ₹45,000 was sanctioned. Later, applied for ₹40,000, and only ₹1,500 was approved. These repeated partial approvals have caused confusion and inconvenience. Anyone please help me with the following
1. Is there any restriction on the number of times PF withdrawals can be made after transitioning to NPS?
2. Are there specific rules or maximum limits (as a percentage or amount) for partial withdrawals from PF in such cases?
3. What are the eligibility criteria and process for full and final settlement of the PF account for government employees who have moved to NPS?
