Pay using points in marriott hotel during check-in

I have reserved Courtyard Siliguri. Front desk of the hotel have told me you can pay through points at the time of check-in. If I book through Bonvoy App, i need to pay 9k points. So my doubt is that, if i pay at the time of check-in, they will take same 9k or they will charge more?
Please clarify me if anyone knows.
