Have a great trip! I've only visited Warsaw but loved it. Such a beautiful city with so much history. Also, LOT is a terribly under-rated airline. I prefer it to most other European airlines.

Depends on partner. Btw, Vistara and Krisflyer can be done directly using Netbanking at 1:1.
Apologies for naive question. I am very new to miles concept.. What's the advantage of using transfer miles as compared to using hdfc smartbuy to directly book tickets since it's guaranteed to provide 1pt= 1rs.. is it just the airline providing some loyalty rewards if booked thru their website?

In many cases the miles price is fixed. For example, India to Singapore is 20k miles. However in some cases the one way ticket might cost around 25-30k (depending on when you book it). Hence miles are beneficial when you travel in peak season or regular tickets are more expensive. One should always check the price of miles+taxes vs buying in cash directly and go for the cheaper option. This is why people prefer miles to directly buying on SMARTbuy

As I will be making my first trip to Europe using points, I would like to thank this community which help me a lot in learning how to maximise points using Credit Cards.

Would like to know if there is anything I could have done better. Will take this feedback for the text trip. 😉
