My first Rupay credit card experience & unboxing

As already posted, I applied for Rupay platinum debit card with Union Bank of India through branch on 18th November 2022.

To my surprise, I was issued Visa gold variant and it was delivered on 6th December 2022. I didn’t activate the card as I was interested in having Visa variant.

Got Visa Gold CC delivered today whereas I applied for Rupay platinum variant. What should I do now as I want only Rupay platinum variant.

Any suggestions ?

Then I requested for converting it from Visa to Rupay platinum variant at branch on 8th of this month. Weirdest thing was, I was asked to activate my Visa credit card to process the conversion to Rupay. I activated the card the card and I got sms on 22nd of this month that Rupay platinum card has been approved and then another sms from India post on 23rd that an article has been booked(which I assumed it would be Union bank credit card).

Finally my card 1st Rupay platinum credit was delivered today by India post.

No difference in the old credit limit VS New credit limit, only difference is the cash limit of this card is 30% of the card limit whereas old cash limit was only 20% of the card limit.

Hi, Same happened with me. I received my card on 20 Dec and when I visited branch they told me that I have to cancel my card and apply again. @Rashya did you have to do the same thing?

In my case they only asked me to activate the Visa variant card then they converted it into Rupay
