I accidentally activated the ZIP feature and I see ZIP balance as 8000. Will this be shown as Personal loan for CIBIL ? Did not activate that Black Rupay BNPL card though..

If you have activated Zip, then it'll be reported as Loan in Cibil, doesn't matter you activate the card or not.

BNPL accounts show up as personal loans in credit reports, and the BNPL limit as loan amount.

So if you want to take some type of loan from banks and lending institutions in future , they will not easily give loans or straight up refuse, stating that you have already ongoing personal loan showing as open in credit reports. Happened to me 😔, so I can tell from experience.

So if you already have credit cards, no need to open BNPL accounts.

Mobikwik RuPay Prepaid Card is now simple Wallet card, no linked with BNPL.

RBI already discontinued BNPL cards.

But its still called ZIP Card and MobiKwik is still selling their ZIP product as Credit line. How?
They should've stopped selling ZIP no. Or atleast rebranded it as Rupay prepaid card. When we go to ZIP Card page, it asks to activate ZIP first.

Note - mobikwik zip activation again required kyc verification but here card activation no kyc required.

Keep trying. Mobikwik has some issue.

Don't load more than 5000 at a time. Always do full amount transaction in mobikwik, otherwise they will charge 2.95% convinience fee. I am struggling to get it back since last week.

Filed in consumer helpline and even rbi ombudsman, but no refund yet.

Suggest some good rupay cards which doesn't require cibil enquiry (secured cards ) .
