Magnus Devaluation (What if?)

What if next year, Magnus gets devalued - let's say the 1L milestone? What will be your backup card of choice?

PS: Getting prepared if that happens :sneaky:

I'd get rid of Axis... just kidding. Actually I'm not... or am I? Do not give bad ideas to Axis.

Magnus: cheapest card with HNI point transfer rates. You can still use GrabDeals and Gyftr to accumulate that many points easily.

At best that will make Reserve card (50k AF) more enticing but mostly to those who spend considerably in foreign currencies where you get the most out of it. Otherwise Magnus is still the raddest kid in the block.

That's what I've also been thinking. Most probably leaning towards Reserve.

Stop and move everything to sbi cashback. Although that will also be devalued soon.

Edit: I just hope they announce it 3-4 months before my renewal so that I can stop my spends for 1L milestone in time.

As per me monthly milestone won’t get devalued so quickly

First they will put restriction in monthly milestone like rent , insurance etc won’t get counted towards milestone
And second devaluation will be to reduce the conversion ratio
This makes sense. I hope they won’t devalue the conversion ratio at least.

Transfer rates are similar to citi prestige. If they are moving citi prestige to magnus, they might keep this.

If you were able to find such an old thread, why couldn't you find the one dedicated entirely to Magnus? 🤣
