But did you get 1.5% Neu coins as cash back on success payment of tax on tata Neu Infintiy? As per the T&C, government transactions don't earn coins for Neu cards.

I did not get any cashback for paying advance tax on incometax website using Icici Apay card. Merchant name "EPORTAL INCOMETAX GOV MUMBAI IN".

Yeah. That is the reason i did my first attempt of paying tax using icici apay card thinking I will definitely get cashback.

Yes any income tax liability greater than 10k is required to pay advance tax. TDS takes care of this for salary income but sometimes secondary income like interest, capital gain, job change requires advance tax.


Coming to rewards, yes you may get rewards based on cards you have, but banks may remove rewards if they find excessive misuse similar to rent payment.
P.S. - Recently launched SBI cashback card does not give 5% have verified

Can't we take them to RBI for unnecessary defining misuse?
I mean it's my card and my money and how I'm using it again my choice. If they have problem with then what will person do with taking premium card..just pay for 1000 rs spends.

Should get 1.5% neucoins on UPI transaction. No additional cost via payment gateway as its UPI transaction. I guess if you use the card directly instead of UPI, there will not be any cash back + Payment Gateway changes from Canara / Kotak

As per the T&c I think it's irrespective of the transaction is done by UPI or others. Govt transactions do not carry the cash back.

But can someone actually confirm if they got 1% or 1.5% cash back for tax payment using Neu RuPay card via UPI?

yes you get 1% Cashback as its counted as utilities. i tried few months back as well so should get.in 2 days once Txn settle will also update in case 1% cashback is not there.but it will be there mostly

Earlier i was able to do upto 10k only. Then i complained to axis nodal office. They removed the limit. Now i could do much more than that

Just to prove here hdfc will not give points on using this card UPI way, I did small transaction by paying tax, I did not get any reward points. I am tracking points in hdfc mobile app. Since transaction settled, 2 days gone but no update in reward points.

Yes you will be able to pay via HDFC Infinia but will not get any reward point on the same.

Agree. I too think we will not get points on hdfc cards. But as I anyway need to pay tax and there is no known card that gives rewards on tax payments, I tried this UPI way transaction.
