IDFC Wealth Card: Video KYC for Addon applicant also?

I recently got a IDFC Wealth card and was impressed with the user experience of IDFC all along. So tried to apply a add-on card for my wife.

At the end of the process, IDFC wants to do a Video KYC of my wife as well. Never saw Video KYC requirement for add-on applicant with any other bank before so my overall positive experience with IDFC soured a little.

Any other bank required vKYC for Add-on card?

Amex does that too

Some bank does that. And some ask you to create an account in the bank. Very few banks give the card directly without vkyc or savings account creation

actually consider yourself lucky that idfc is giving add-on to your relatives with just their pan and video kyc.

all other banks that i know: they either make your relative open an account with them, or ask you to visit branch with photocopy and passport size photo of the addon applicant.

this is one of the very few things that i liked about idfc.

In your mobile app there should be apply addon card would be there. You have to do Kyc of each application. I guess 3 addon can be generated.
You get 500 cashback as joining offer for addon on spending some minimum amount.
Lounge access is available and number of visit is shared with primary card holder

can primary and add on can visit lounge together at same time. card no. is same , so how lounge allows

Card number are different in IDFC. Yes they can visit same time provided it is under the limit of free visits

IDFC made all lounge access purely on spend based. we need to make Rs5k transaction each month to avail the lounge facility

Off topic - just wondering how do I change IDFC select card to wealth ? At application stage I should have put my highest CC limit instead I went with most used Axis Magnus and was given Select. I have stopped short of going through with Video Kyc and wondering what, if any is the best way to change this app to wealth or apply again.

I have tried applying again but it retrieves my old application even when tried with another mobile#

The add on card came with it's separate Dreamfolks privileged card

They show all transactions together in their app, so don't think it will require separate spends on add on cards.

You need to contact support and cancel your existing application. Then you can try with a new application

The statement is not yet generated, so maybe once that's done, but nothing till now. Will let you know in case this changes

When I applied for add I was shown before applying that spend minimum 500 and get 500 cashback on each add on. And I also received 500 for each. @jainsuk @Wealth is my birth right!
