ICICI Bank iShop Accelerated Reward Points Portal Launched - Upto 36% Reward Rate 🔥

As promised by ICICI Bank at the time of launching the Emeralde Private Metal Card and Times Black Card, they have introduced their Accelerated Rewards Portal, iShop by ICICI Bank. Through this portal, ICICI Bank cardholders can earn accelerated rewards when purchasing gift vouchers, booking flights, and reserving hotels.

The portal is similar to HDFC Bank’s SmartBuy for HDFC customers. However, ICICI Bank also offers accelerated rewards to its debit card and net banking customers, even if they don't have an ICICI credit card. The portal appears to be in beta testing, as ICICI Bank has added a "Beta" tag to the iShop logo. So, expect changes in rules and capping.

Let's dive into the details of this portal!

Reward Earning on iShop Portal

Credit Cards & Debit Cards:
  • 6X Reward Points on Flight Bookings & Shopping Vouchers
  • 12X Reward Points on Hotels
  • 4% Cashback for co-branded ICICI cards
Net Banking Customers:
  • 3% iCash on Flight Bookings
  • 6% iCash on Hotels
  • NA% iCash on Shopping Vouchers

Redemption on iShop Portal

You can redeem your credit card reward points on the iShop portal.

The value of credit and debit card reward points depends on the card you hold. For example, with the ICICI Bank Emeralde Private Metal Credit Card, 1 reward point = ₹1.

Redemption Options:

  • Hotel Booking: You can pay 90% of the order value using reward points, and the remaining 10% must be paid using the same credit card.
  • Shopping Vouchers: You can pay 50% of the order value using reward points, with the rest paid via card.

For Net Banking Customers:

  • Instead of reward points, Net Banking Customers receive iCash from iShop (1 iCash = ₹1).
  • For flights, hotels, and gift vouchers, you can use a maximum of 80% iCash, and the remaining 20% must be paid via net banking.

This is an amazing launch from ICICI Bank. ICICI Bank has often been tagged as a low-rewarding credit card issuer, but with this portal launch, customers can now earn significant bonus reward points using their ICICI Bank credit cards. This is a great way to revamp the bank's credit card portfolio.

One key expectation from ICICI Bank is that they should enter the airmiles game as soon as possible. According to some sources, they are already working on it. They are also aiming to launch a hotel co-branded credit card soon.

My first bill for EPM got generated today, but joining fee is not included in that, anyone else faced the same thing? Will it be added to the second month's bill instead?
Asking since I wanted to use the Taj Epicure joining benefit, which we get only after the payment of the joining fee.

It typically gets added after 45 days of card issuance.. for me also it got added to 2nd bill

Wouldn’t this link give on EPM website mean all lounges are applicable: https://www.prioritypass.com/airport-lounges
No, that lists everything accessible via priority pass. But very few banks allow everything supported by priority pass like infinia pp is one of them. Some banks don't allow spa/restaurants, some don't allow domestic lounges etc. Even icici letter says it is not applicable on domestic lounges, but in that link if u search, u will see all domestic lounges too.

Yeah what I meant was for international lounges - all lounges showing in this link should be applicable. But I’m not sure. Maybe drop an email to them to share the list?

iShop daily limit is like 24 hours or calendar day?

I don't see points reflecting for 3rd July transaction:

There's some glitch. I'm also not seeing points for my last transaction in ishop. But its calendar day and month only. I can see accelerated points in view cvv in net banking and base points in statement

By "view CVV" method, i see accelerated rewards till 6th july.. I dont see accumulated reward points have values after that date.. i did next transaction on 9th july..

Was this transaction billed in your statements ? Did you check that ?
I had similar issue. My 10th June transaction points (ishop transactions) weren't showing up. I probed further and it turns out, those transaction were not billed at all in subsequent statement. However, I can see those transaction in my current unbilled statement. And I have received their reward points (I was keeping track of all the RPs).
One thing to note -
All Ishop transaction appear as "I SHOP, HTTPS://ishop, IND". However, these transaction in question were started appearing as "REWARD 360 GLOBAL SERVICES PVT LTD 10 06 25". (Notice the date in the end of description). Looks like some system migration from ICICI and hence these were missed to be billed in correct cycle.
For me, the transactions was billed transaction. I had a completely different issue with ICICI wherein the statement showed a XX reward points. However what credited to my points balance was lesser than XX-YY. Multiple email exchanges with customer care did not yield any result as they simply failed to understand the issue. Currently it is escalated to headqualityservces. Lets see what happens.

In CVV section, I'm seeing "Redeemed during the month" = "Opening Balance"
and "Earned during the Month" = "Closing Balance"

I have not redeemed anything at all.. does it show like this for everyone?

Also checked on IMOBILE, and it shows 31194 points available to redeem!

This is how it should be. Earned during the month is your closing balance on that day. Post your statement, the closing balance becomes your opening balance for your next cycle and once this opening balance gets transferred to "Rewards" it is considered redeemed as per their definition.
It took me some time to understand this coming from HDFC ecosystem. 🙂

Oh thanks for clarifying... So basically on statement generation all points move to Rewards account, and balance remaining on CC account is 0 .. correct?

I've also been using HDFC primarily, and this ICICI method is super confusing?
