TF Buzz
So i hold multiple hdfc credit card which all as a merged limit of 93k and i utilised almost all of it in april 2025 from hdfc moneyback plus and swiggy hdfc in 70-30% ratio. But at that same month i used my tata neu hdfc cc in dreamfolks for offer checking purpose as i was returning from delhi now the main thing is that 2 rupees was non refundable and i accidently ignored it also almost 2-3 months ago i updated my hdfc bank email address to a new one because of spam emails to my existing one but becauae of my laptop died and i did not setup any recovery email or mobile number it was asking for authentication from my old laptop so as i did not pushed my efforts further i was not recieving hdfc bank's notifcation via email and ngl i somehow missed that 2 rupees payment and the due date was 21th of may 2025 and i saw that on 1st june 2025 but it was too late till then and i recieved n email oj 6h june from hdfc officially that we f*cked your credit score as you did not paid that amount on time. I am not new in this game guys. I never did any intentional late payments till now and also as i said i almost utilised the whole limit by the same month and repaid on time too. Now i wrote emails to griviance and escelation emails of HDFC but they did not reponded even no reference id to that so i wrote the same to the pno today. I am just regretting the most rn. Please tell me if there's any possibility to undo the damage. It was totally unintentional.

Email them the real scenerio & ask them to correct the cibil as its just Rs.2

If they don't agree then One more thing you can do is to keep -2 in your card for some months statements & then again push for removing that entry.

When using credit cards one shud be very careful chking due dates, due amts very very often.. Surprising that u missed to check for almost 2 months.. Even more surprised hdfc didnt send any reminders to phone number?
All i see is about email id and not phone number in the post.

Not trying to demoralize you. For late payment scenario, you can get back penalties & interests levied minus GST, but getting back credit score is very rare.
You can try writing to them that it is a one time genuine mistake and you assure that it will never happen again.

That is really unfortunate. First pay that bill asap. Then contact HDFC and politely request to remove the reporting on following grounds -

1. It was never your intention to delay as you already paid thousands worth bill on other card.

2. You did not receive any notification/ email moved to spam.

3. Use your past relationship or history of X years saying you never missed a payment and have already cleared the bill. You intend to keep the same in future and removing the cibil report would help you in further strengthening the relationship with HDFC bank - through future credit cards and loans.

Lastly, it's on the discretion of the bank. If you are lucky, you may find a nice customer care executive receiving your mail / call, who would help you. Try atleast 2-3 calls if the first person denies saying rules blah blah. Sometimes you also need luck of connecting to a good person on other side.

+1 he is using cred app.. If so then they keep on sending sms via whatsapp for due date reminders and stuffs.. Ignoring whatsapp or blocked them then it's totally fault lies on your side.
He can only try atmost.. Lesson learnt.

For morale boost,
Every paisa matters youtube guy had issue of some paise left in my billing due something like 0.36 paise undue amount. After back and forth emails he got that late fee waived off and no cibil hit.

A good email with sincere apology with excellent cibil record, you can give a try.

Can really feel the pain bro. That too after making timely payments 470/470 times, one missed payment and everything gone Since it was already reported to CIBIL, there is very less chance that bank will write to cibil to take it back. Try raising a grievance with all sad story, pleading etc but 99% they won't go that extra step and do this favour for you.. Or if you know some manager or above person as close friends or relatives, they can make a push. still it is difficult.
At this point, it is only a generous helping hand from their side to remove the entry but almost impossible to reach to that step.
