To everyone who is excited for hsbc cashback credit card.
I was doing some calculation and observed that max cashback per month is 400 that is max spend in a month is 4000( food grocery and dining)
for 12 months it would be 4800 cashback and spend would be 48000.
how are you going to spend remaining milestones as there are better cc with give more than 1% cashback on upi spends.
Also I am not sure that 1% is inclusive or exclusive of 400.
If 400 is inclusive of 1%, card seems useless to me

this is particularly relevant when you have live+ and you use them regularly
1% & 10% clubbed Rs.400

How it's relevant if someone already have Live+ ?

Is hsbc card available for business person?

Or still for salaried person only ?

NO CHANGE in HSBC's policy of PRACTICALLY NOT GIVING CCs to non-salary applicants.

Even if such non-salary (i.e self employed or business owners) applicants hold HSBC accounts.

However, their website continues to show that CCs - CAN - be issued to non-salaried if they maintain accounts with them. Not withstanding ITRs showing 25+L income continuously...

I personally know a few cases of their cards were issued based on fake/spurious n fabricated dox.

HSBC is known for NOT GIVING ANYTHING in writing. Their staff call n inform their regret. That's all.

All the best for new applicants.

I refused to give fabricated dox, but still maintain my account in HSBC. Earlier, held 3 of their CCs.

Do we get any cashback for upi spends on HSBC Rupay Platinum or it's just 2 RPs for 150 spent?
Also RPs earned via this card can only be used to Instantly convert your reward points to air miles and hotel loyalty points in the HSBC India Mobile Banking app. Can we redeem it for Gift cards online?

Rewards rate is better for the cashback card in that case, just that it comes with a upper limit on cb earned via upi spends and annual fee.
Buddy, I already have Live+ card --> so not needed for 10%
There are lot of cards in the market which gives 1%+ --> I hold supercard pro from Axis & Tata Neu Infinity.

So HSBC Cashback card is not for me.

Got a call from HSBC team. That girl asked me whether I have a HSBC CC now so that she can prioritise my application. I asked her what application as I did not apply for any CC now. And, asked her if she could get me the just-launched RuPay CB card. She says that they do not have any info about that and probably by next week or so, they may get info or directions to do the needful.

I said goodbye and asked her to call me back next week (or thereafter) after they get their directions.

Yes, I too got the call yesterday morning.

1% or 10% --> clubbed to Rs.400 max cashback.

HSBC has written completely incorrect information.

First, there's confusion about whether the 1% cashback is unlimited or capped at ₹400.

And now I was checking — in the MITC file it says that the annual fee waiver for the RuPay Cashback Credit Card is on ₹1 lakh spent.
