HSBC Cashback Credit Card Review

Editor’s note: This is a recurring post, regularly updated with new information and offers. Last Updated 5th Dec 2023.
HSBC has recently revamped their Cashback Credit card and I would say it has been revalued as an exception in this season of brutal devaluations. Since earning points for travel is again becoming difficult many people are shifting to cashback credit cards to bump up their valueback.

Here's a quick review of this great credit card from HSBC Bank!

HSBC Bank is currently only offering their credit cards to salaried individuals that too very strictly. If you are a self-employed individual then you may try your luck by opening a premium bank account against a huge NRV.

TechnoFino Recommends

A simple no-nonsense cashback card from HSBC Bank which caters to both Groceries and Dining that too at a flat 10% rate which I would say is unheard of before. Earlier Kotak was offering such cashback on their Essentia and Delight credit cards with some conditions and now have been discontinued.

If you are looking for a great multi-utility card for all your grocery and dining spending then this card should be there in your wallet! Not to worry about the fees since in festive time reaching that upper cap on 10% cashback even for just one time will make your card free virtually for the year. This card is in direct competition with the HDFC Swiggy card now.

makes sense, is this card better one or SC Smart Credit Card is better one
smart is FYF I guess, only 1.2L in a year and its free + 2% on every trnx w/o any condition, I am using it since last 6 months, no issues till now. Just dont use t for rental trnx, they charged me 1+GST for last 4 months and debit started in this month only, they are late in charging fee etc, so be carefull.

This question is for people who already have 10-11 cards. Were you approved? I have 11 cards and I am contemplating getting this. But I am a bit skeptical because I already have 11 cards and nervous about applying.

I had 17 cards and it was approved. I’m holding HSBC Visa Platinum as well. If you are salaried, then should not be any issue.

@hellobois I’ve been using it mainly at the following and getting 10% cashback:

Bbdaily, BBNow and BB via Tata Nue, Swiggy Food and Instamart, Dineout, Restaurants, Local Grocery stores(Vijetha).

If MCC is correct then you will definitely get the cashback.

I applied for the card on Saturday. vKYC was completed. No messages thereafter and no CIBIL hit so far. I am wondering what is the status of my application.
Received message from Bluedart on Tuesday and card was delivered on Wednesday. From application to delivery, no message from the bank.

Same here, got two cards from HSBC. While applying enter the local address and call customer service team for your issue, they will assist.
