Infinia HDFC Infinia Priority Pass Charged for Access in Domestic Indian Airports

Thanks
Infinia Priority Pass is not chargeable on domestic airport. I myself used 2 PPs (Primary & Add-On) in May 1st week for domestic airport in Goa which surprisingly wasn't accepting Infinia Credit card. So had to use PP there. So far I have not been charged.

All this confusion started because somebody unknowingly made guest entry on PP and for that he was charged. Even in that case, when he complained to HDFC that it was lounge operator mistake to do guest entry (as no primary entry and only guest entry) he was refunded 50% charges.

So unless, HDFC come up with clear communication that Infinia PP on domestic airport is chargeable (just like for Regalia card), feel free to use it on domestic wherever needed. (Just ensure that operator don't make a guest entry there)
Thanks for sharing. Actually useful as there was lot of chatter on the social media but Bank obviously was quiet. I think I saw a video on the Subject on YouTube, probably by SpendWisely.

Now a days people deliberately spread fake information due to fear of devaluation.

And some of these people including tf mods, youtubers like spendwisely and several influencers on "X" just ask first level hdfc customer care and believe them when they tell it's chargeable without any reasoning. First rule of credit card world is customer care knows nothing 😆.

I have raised this till 3rd level customer care and after multiple to and fro emails, got confirmation that it's still free. But I won't share any screenshots to let those innocent people believing the fake information spread all over🤣.

If someone wants to verify himself, raise till 3rd level customer care and precisely mention things like "30 days notice for any change" and "where is text on website saying domestic usage is chargeable". It will take 2-3 mails, but u need to be persistent and they will confirm.
Agreed. I think these so called influencers are actually ruining the party more than they are helping out users.

It's was not the starting point bro. Actually what hdfc website did was changed lounge benifit point.

Earlier:
Priority pass can be used to acess lounges inside and outside india

Somewhere in 1st quater it changed to:
Priority pass can be used to access lounges outside india

Thanks

Found it (Link pasted below). The one which created confusion. He's selling EPM in this. Nothing against EPM but it would be stupid of HDFC to devalue Infinia at this juncture.

it takes 3 months (90 days approx for charges to appear) so there still time... actually it was not about this person who got charged due to guest access... it was mainly because hdfc changed wording on their website around 7th march...

Anyways if someone who has used it between 7th march and 26th march can confirm by seeing their statements would be the most accurate ones to give clarity on this

As per the latest T&Cs, Priority Pass is free only for international lounge access. For domestic lounges in India, you have to swipe the Infinia card directly. It’s clearly mentioned that if you use Priority Pass in India, HDFC can charge $27 per visit — and this has been confirmed by HDFC too. If anyone here has used Priority Pass for domestic lounges, do share if you were charged. FYI, the terms used to be different earlier.

which line in this T&C says that PP is free only for international lounge ?
As far as I understand this, it doesn't say anything about using PP on domestic lounges. And on mobile app, it clearly states that PP is complimentary for Domestic lounge also (somebody has already put a screenshot in this thread).
So far, no one in this group has said that he was charged for using PP on domestic lounge (except for guest entry case).

that’s how the bank play with words, if they do charge you, you technically can’t fight with them —because it’s outside the defined terms.

if u still want to try it out, no harm done—go ahead and experiment! 😁

Generally banks mention that if you use priority pass inside India, it will be chargeable.

If you will ready my earlier posts in this thread, you'll know that I have tried that in may 1st week and not charged (yet 🙂).
With regards to playing with words, Banks needs to clearly mention that it it will be chargeable if used in Domestic lounges. And they do mention that. (Just check the T&C for Regalia & other cards). Regarding outside defined terms - On mobile app ..they clearly state that domestic lounge is complimentary for PP & Card. Please bother to read through the thread.
If they still charge me, then they will have to reverse the charges (let them try).
