Infinia HDFC Infinia Priority Pass Charged for Access in Domestic Indian Airports

I had not seen this thread earlier but recently visited Hyderabad airport lounge along with my friend. Unaware of this issue I swiped my PP , and my friend also had a PP for another non HDFC card. He was unaware whether his PP can be used in India or not. When he swiped, the receptionist confirmed to him that this is not free for him and he will be charged. So , Infinia PP would be chargeable then this information must be known too.

When I used my Infinia PP in Bengaluru last week. The receptionist said something similar, "Sir Bank will let you know the charges". I said it's fine and she swiped. I have used Infinia PP 6 times in last 2 months in domestic airport lounges.

That is the standard disclaimer they use. So that they won't get blamed, some PPs may get charged.

Generally banks write if you use this PP in India you will be charged, infinia me Aisa nahi likha hai kahi

These videos and some articles have created confusion. Read the whole thread. I too thought the same way. People have used Infinia PP at Domestic lounges and did not get charged.
While swiping PP it's important to keep the receipt and make sure that they don't add guest. If guest is added you'll be charged.

That's the crux of this thread if you don't want to read the whole thing.
