So, finally, other banks have started following SBI's path. HDFC is the second bank after SBI.

Purchases eligible for Instant Discount/ Cashback on HDFC Bank Credit Card will not qualify for Reward Points. The same will be reversed within 120 days of end of cashback posting month or end of offer month for Instant discount offers.

SBI has been doing this already, now HDFC will jump on it again. We are in a sad industry, banks instantly copy those stuff which makes them profitable.

This is a 6 monthly exercise they do, Jan to June, July to December, twice a year they deduct the extra points for the past 6 months.
