HDFC ACCOUNT INFORMATION LEAKED

Maybe unrelated to this case but I've heard HDFC is notorious and does contact relatives or friends regarding any overdues.

I did get for one of my old friend's cc over due. They found some neft txn between him and me, pulled up my details and called me about his whereabouts.

Both are hdfc customers so they have our details.

I have received calls from Lotak people for some loan that was unpaid by some family living in our society! - ( I have NO relation with that family )

not just me, quite a few people (including their neighbors) received the call.

It's just people. The private sector players do all kinds of things and some will even have it in their loan agreement. Specially, the digi loans by NBFCs and those payday loan apps.

The PSU banks, under pressure for recovery, resort to more creative measures.

My HDFC Credit account and savings account details (loan & balance) were shared with a relative without my knowledge. I haven’t visited any branch in 3 months, so clearly, someone from the bank leaked my info.


How do I escalate this? Has anyone filed a complaint with RBI or the Banking Ombudsman before? Need urgent advice.

one week ago, hdfc bank employee (i know him) shared my ac info and transaction details to atleast two persons and he tell me that I can view last 10 transaction and what are these transactions ZERNSE (zerodha) and hdfc mf when I enquired about information leakage. He forced me to do kyc and provide other documents. I never use upi in primary ac and I send money to ZERNSE and hdfc mf only then I transferred my ac to different branch yesterday
