Infinia From ₹1 Cr FD to Infinia CC: The Upgrade !!

Yes my accounr was under Imperia for last 1 year
How soon after opening your HDFC savings account did you make the FD? Do they force you to keep the account alive for a whole year first?

P.S. I despise HDFC banking — just plotting my great escape the moment Infinia lands in my wallet (if it lands, that is 😅)!

As per new banking relationship value, you can open a new bank account, hand them over 1 Cr cheque - they will directly open your Imperia account. Ask them to make FD - post 90 days branch guys can apply Infinia for you. - no questions asked.

I was waiting for my 90 days to end, fast forward 50th day - I could see pre approved Infinia offer and applied for it. No docs, nothing.

No, I opened FD and they told me they will manually apply for Infinia post 90 days. Cut short to 50 days, I got it in pre approved offers with 10L Limit and 1500
Amazon voucher.
FD is done before 31 March ?
UPDATE:
Application is approved and I can see Infinia credit card issued in portal.

Congratulations 🎉 🎉
Once you got the offer, did you still have to give payslips and all? I do not have any banking relationship with HDFC right now..I also do not have the salary slip to fulfil Infinia's eligibility criteria. However, I can open a 1 Cr FD for 2-3 months. Do I have any chances for Infinia? Should I go for it?
You have FULL chances.

Your's FD is created via IB/MB/Whatsapp or through Branch ?👇

If you are taking FD route it means your spends are not much so infinia will be just a ego booster without any practical use.

This forum create a fomo that your life is incomplete without infinia.

Now you have joined a rat race to spend 10 lakh p.a. to waive off renewal fees else renewal fees will make this card worthless
I am sure no one would unnecessarily increase their spends for fee waiver. Even if one does not meet the fee waiver criteria, Infinia gives points equivalent to the annual fee. Koi itni tension nahi lega!

Credit card should be need based....If i spend more than 10 lakh, it makes sense to have infinia...Collecting a credit card just for status symbol or to boost ego is fatal for personal finance.
Yeh toh sahi hai..my question was on your inference..what makes you think that someone who is going the FD route, does not have 10L spends on his existing card?

My spending varies from 25- 30 L annually.

It is bold to assume that someone with 1 Cr in FD lives with EMIs on cards. Also, like Finchamp said, I do not mind paying just the GST component in the name of fees. Sure enough, it increases prestige, but I do have a genuine use case with Infinia where I’ll be saving. It was a calculated move before opening an FD.
