Federal Bank is aggressively issuing core credit cards, making them easier to get with decent limits. However, getting a limit enhancement (LE) is tough and takes time.

I started my journey with Federal in Nov 2021 with a Fi Account, later adding Jupiter in Jan 2022. I used Fi actively until July 2023 before switching to IDFC. After that, Fi became a secondary account. Jupiter is also active.

Seeing SnowLucifer's post, I considered applying, but my Scapia card application was rejected in early March, leaving me unsure. After discussing it with @BeingIncog, I decided to try.

Applied on March 28:
✅ Uploaded my last 3 months' bank statement
✅ Choose Visa as the preferred network (no variant selection)
✅ If pre-approved, the bank statement step is skipped

The application number was generated, but no VKYC or verification call. I assumed it would be rejected like Scapia, but to my surprise, it got approved for Federal Signet with ₹75K! 🎉. It took a maximum of 2 hours to get approved.

Timeline:
📅 28th March – Applied & Approved Same Day
📦 29th March – Dispatched
📬 2nd April – Delivered


Now, I'm seeing the Wave Rupay card offer in the Federal App.

Any suggestions on how to get the Scapia card now? Also, an interesting point—there was no CIBIL hit this time, but during Scapia, there was.

What is the cooling period between 1st application rejection and 2nd application for Federal bank?

@Anindya98 I always get my Federal bank core credit card rejected.

First time when I applied 1.5 years back, they asked for bank statement, I uploaded and they instantly rejected.

For next 2 times, applying after 6 months each, last year and 6 months back, they rejected that time just after adding mobile number. It's been more than 6 months now since I applied last in December 2024.

Any idea what should I do?
I have almost all bank cards, only federal bank is the one that I need mainly for flight instant discounts.

I have jupyter savings account from last 6 years and activately using it.

Any idea to get a Federal bank credit card? I just don't trust their online site anymore.

I have tried to know the exact reason, almost 5-6 times they just gave reply that internal policies 😭😭

I went through the offline process and got Imperio with 2.5 lakh limit despite holding a much higher limit in CIBIL and a Celesta account with Federal Bank. I accepted the offer and took the card and now have started escalation via Celesta desk to upgrade it to Celesta. But now I have got a reason to close my account with Federal Bank because I didn’t want to maintain such a high variant account with them. Let’s see what happens now.
