Which sweep in facility savings account is best in terms of no premature penalty, best interest rate, premium account and premium debit card benifits etc?
I have considered IDFC, HDFC, SBI, Kotak 811, Indusind and find IDFC good to consider. What do you guys think about these banks?

Recently got multiple calls from HDFC RM to check if I am interested in Sweep in deposits. Earlier the calls used to be related to Mutual Funds and Savings + Insurance schemes.

Do banks give good commission / reward benefits to employees on selling such sweep in schemes?

Were you able to find answer for this..Is IDFC good for sweep in?

well, FDs are created in sweep-in, and bank employees are always behind us for FDs.
After reading multiple threads, sweep-in FDs look very messy, if someone is looking to invest in short term while maintaining liquidity, what's the better way in ur opinion

6 months max, 6-7L
If you dont need money before 6 months then kotak's sweep in can be a good option. It gives 7% for sweep-in FD if you hold it for 6 months. Look for Activ money on their website.
Sweep-in is only beneficial when you do minimum transactions from that account.
Otherwise I prefer liquid funds or arbitrage funds.

Got it, any idea about Idfc sweep-in rates and flexibility?

Look at the FAQs..

1749916630220.webp

So FD tenure is 370 days which is more than an year.
FD interest rates are coming around 6.25% for 370 days.
Link for FD rates

It seems after repo rate reduction Kotak also reduced interest rates on their sweep-in FDs.

Every account of Kotak have different threshold for sweep-in FD.

Hope this helps.

Super helpful man thanks

No, withdrawal of only fraction of amount.
So I've read somewhere that when ppl withdrawing even smaller fractions, banks were breaking their sweep-in FDs and creating new ones everytime, and this went to tax department asking they haven't revealed 40-50 FDs opened that year..so you're saying with SBI, no such issue?

Yes, I haven't face this issue in SBI so far. But since I haven't used other sweep in. It may be possible with other sweep in.

So it means -
adding of funds or withdrawal of funds, than again adding of funds - got parked in same sweep in FD Account number in SBI ??

For example, withdrawal happens when your main balance is going to 0, if withdrawal 2000 from your 10000 sweep in, you get 2000+ intrest on 2000 for specific period, but again funding enough to saving account that it exceeds threshold value, a new sweep in fd create, withdrawal happens on lifo order basis, you can change the order if you want.

Fair enough, Question is - to avoid multiple FD creation -
Suppose I activate first time Sweep in today and got Account no SWFD0001 with initial amount say 1 lakh for 444 days, now till it will not used completely, any subsequent addition will park only into this, and till the time 1 Rs left, any withdrawal took place from this Only !!!
