Take this. a pair of gloves come in 2 rs n 200rs how they will decide whch gloves is suitable for hospital. Purchase at govt hospitals r 5-10 times of regular market cost. Dere r too much variations. Govt is unable to maintain uniform price of same medicine. I m nt against it bt its nt practically possible.

To repeat myself again, I don't think it's about whether the gloves cost 2 rs or 200 rs.
It should be about what class/quality/grade of gloves(or any other equipment) is required, and whether it is required at all or not.
Price will always vary based on brand etc.
Similar to how doctors are supposed to write the composition of medicine and not the brand name, which brand you go for or you're given by the pharmacy/hospital will always be varying.

Hi everyone,

I am looking to buy ICICI Elevate Family Floater policy.

Checked with Ditto, but they are not selling ICICI yet. Also, checked directly from ICICI website and they are giving discount based on Cibil. Could not find the same Cibil discount in Paisabazaar

Cannot find a good agent who can help in the future if required, as most give fake assurances to get a commission. Is it better to buy from Paisabazaar or directly from the ICICI website? Or can anyone suggest an agent?

Any suggestions on how to proceed with it?

Take frm icici website. No broker can help at dat time of claim. Frm website u ll save something.
Icici has copayment if u take treatment in higher tier city. Plz check dat

You are absolutely wrong with the last sentence. In health insurance, a reputed agent/broker is going to be our go-to person for any claim disputes. I have first hand experience in it and i always rely on my broker when it comes to taking amd renewing health insurance.
Again, key here is the agent/broker should be from a reputed agency.

I have used a few claims at cashless hospitals and the hospital takes care of everything. We just had to give them insurance card, Aadhaar etc

I think it's a little more complicated if you are going to use reimbursement coz small/ non network hospitals may not know how to provide correct paperwork and an agent can check and help with paperwork part.

In my family, there are couple of minor surgeries and we never faced any issue....Policy is online only....For one, non-network hospital, insurance company shared list of documents...We submitted all the documents and claim was cleared within 1 week.

Just for their commission, Agents have unnecessary created bhookal and fear that without them, claim will not be cleared

I checked with Nikhil Jha, financial educator and Twitter influencer. He is asking 5% extra compared to the premium on ICICI and Paisabazaar.

I think they are already getting 10-15% agent commission, and even after that, he is asking 5% more. Too much greed bro

You may complain to IRDA regarding the same. His license will be cancelled.

A person with financial interest can never give unbiased opinion...I made a point to stay away from influencers who are only good in fooling people.

If you call the insurance company, they themselves suggest to buy online and accept that their agents are spreading misinformation that claims are not processed for online policies.

The irony is that these insurance companies would like to get rid of these agents and are promoting online products aggressively because they also know that these agents overcharge and cheat customers

He told that he charges ₹999 as consultation fees
