Actually not a bad idea considering the amount of devaluation.

While getting a new card it might help us in finding out which one were devalued recently.

Why would someone even go down the miles route now, 5:1 is equal to cash conversion of 0.2 Re.

If one mile more than ₹1, in that case.
Some airlines offer that.

You've 3 out of 5 devalued cards. Must have been a shocker to you. Anyways Privilege and select have been removed now, let's hope for some positive changes.

After acquiring the Citi Bank they incurred huge loss over 5000 cr. So, it could be a business decision to cut the loss to some extent by devaluing the credit cards and extracting annual fees from the customers.

Actually that’s not considered as loss. Just an exceptional expenses for acquiring Citi bank business. They have 10000+ crore of portfolio with them which will increase their profit margins now.

Yeah. Triple shock. Privilege is LTF for me and I hardly use it so don’t care. But I do use the other two

Didn't the customer care announced it on call and then went back on their word. Now the public announcement.
