Axis Bank debit card upgrade offer

Hello, I have an Axis Easy Access savings account. I opened the account online in February 2023 and Axis gave me the 'Online Rewards Mastercard Debit Card' and a virtual VISA debit card. Now, Axis charged Rs. 590 for issuing the debit card and just a few days ago they charged the annual fee of the same amount. But today I received a notification from the Axis mobile app for upgrading the physical debit card. I tapped on it and that took me to the page where I saw the options to either block or upgrade my current physical debit card. When I tapped on upgrade, 3 options were there. 1) Online Rewards Mastercard debit card (Rs 236 including GST), 2) Value Plus debit card (Rs. 885 including GST) and 3) Online Rewards VISA debit card (Rs. 0).

Now, what should I do? I would always prefer not to pay Rs. 590 every year for that garbage physical debit card. So, should I just select the 3rd option and pay nothing in the upcoming years? Why is Axis even offering me the same debit card of the VISA variant for free when they can charge me Rs. 590 every year? I am confused.

Here, I am attaching the images of the options that I got in the app, the screenshot where Axis mentioned the charges for physical Online rewards and virtual debit card for Easy Access Digital savings account and also the image of the document that came with the physical debit card mentioning its charges

@sun156 If you apply ATM chip debit card, it is completely free (no issuance or annual charges). It can be done through the axis mobile app but you should not hold any debit card with axis.

1. UPI pin: I'm not sure, but done reset using aadhaar details in Phonepe.
2. Axis INB: Debit card authorization not required for transactions.
3. Issuance or Annual Charges: Applicable ₹200 + GST.

yes bro but for some transactions like forgot password, ivr authorization , HVT Neft Imps Transactions Bot call authorization , e.t.c Required debit card authorization

Tq for clearing doubt on charges any how,
can you try resetting UPI pin with ATM card and reply me , If possible tq

My wallet has 4 card slots, so discarded this ATM chip card.

Password reset, NEFT, IMPS, Bot call on high value upi transactions debit card is not required.

no bro some high value RTGS I did
immediately I got a bot verification call

it asked me to press 1 if I am the person carried then after asked to enter debit card Pin

again to my surprise one person called and asked
then he said try the next transaction it will be success, I said it is already successful, he said now it will fail , I argued him
he said it is routine process, please try again
the next transaction I got no call, it simply went hassle free

Like this It happend to me nearly 3 times last before year while making payment to builder

when I said to BM , once he authorized the Transaction for me last year

when I said to BM , once he authorized the Transaction for me last year
I also got calls for UPI 1 lac transaction (after 2 months of account opening) but never for NEFT transactions (max 5 lac). Never tried RTGS.

On call press 1 or 2 option is given, no debit card details.

Since then no calls for authentication because now 1-2 lac transactions are considered normal.

Do you have any debit card with axis now?
 
hai bro , for me also showing similar cards as ZERO Charge , what does that mean,
whether card is LTF with zero issuance and zero annual fee
or card is only free for issuance and chargeable annually.

Yes, I applied and it's LTF (no issuance and annual fee).

That card still showing to you in app??
In my family 3 persons are there.
For them that card itself is not showing bro including me.
Customer care and branch is showing that card. But names are different for cc and branch . Bcz of that clumsy and charges I stopped that one

It will not show if you have any existing axis bank debit card like secure plus.

I have 3 accounts on my name
Except digital account remaining other 2 have their product debit card


One time one customer care persons says it is not showing,
Other says it is zero but ATM CARD
Some other says it is rupay card but zero
They are purely confusing bro, and I confused.
