Devaluation Airtel app levying usage fee on utility payments on Airtel Axis credit card

Airtel started levying usage fees on electricity bill payments while using Airtel Axis credit card on its app. Might add the same for other bill payments also.

Currently can confirm its an app side issue... I was seeing charges in 116.1...but now reverted back to 114..and charges gone...

Downloaded the airtel xapk.... And installed via xapk installer.... Just now paid the electricity bill without any charges.....

How did you revert? I installed older version & android is asking to download from playstore to use app

Yes 114 has no charges currently. Just remove 116 n install 114 . Paid just now widout any extra charges

Exactly. It worked with apk installer and older version last time. But this time the airtel app is asking to download latest version from playstore.

Airtel has fixed the issue. Now you cannot go back to older version to avoid paying convenience charges

Even with the charges, it's a no-brainer (esp if you have Airtel mobile or broadband)- very few cards give utility cashback.

Pre approved? I don't know how the algorithm works. I closed neo card recently, very next day I got pre approved offers but not rupay axis airtel. But my mother has only 1 myzone card but when I log using her credentials there is never a single pre approved offer for her. Don't know why.

Sometimes they won't give you the card in pre-approved section which already been closed. I closed myzone, neo ,ace. There after i haven't received offer for the same as pre-approved. I have been using the axis airtel card, Flipkart for more than 2 yrs. I haven't received any pre-approved offer on these card untill I took the savings account with them. Don't know really how it works

Yeah especially considering its annual fees we don't have any other card around its fees that offers similar cashback.

No extra benefits are available with the Rupay variant, as it has a 1.75% charge.

Even without Airtel Services, Utility 8% does the job with Swiggy, Zomato & BB 10%.

Use the Neo card regularly, the pre-approved offers will start appearing.

U mean to say mother ka my zone card jo Good for nothing hai usse use karo, but I could not find any use for it bhai tbhi to aise hi pada hai vo.

Do it for small value transactions 100,200, just to show the system that the user and the card are active.
