In the world of personal finance, many people are always looking for ways to manage their money better and get the most out of their spending. One popular strategy that's gaining traction is using debit cards to pay off credit card bills. This allows you to earn cashback on expenses that wouldn't normally earn rewards. In this article, we'll explore this concept and look at some of the best debit card options for paying off credit card bills.

Understanding the Strategy

Typically, credit card bills are paid using money from a bank account, either automatically or by manual transfer. While these payments don't usually earn rewards, some banks offer cashback incentives for using their debit cards to pay bills. By strategically using a debit card for credit card payments, you can earn cashback on expenses that wouldn't otherwise earn rewards.

Choosing the Right Debit Card

When choosing a debit card for paying credit card bills, there are a few things to consider:
  1. Cashback Percentage: Look for a debit card that offers a good cashback percentage on bill payments.
  2. Debit Card Fees: Consider any fees associated with the debit card, such as monthly fees or transaction fees.
  3. Account Requirements: Make sure you meet any requirements to qualify for the debit card you're interested in.

Has anyone been able to successfully verify non (RP) excluded MCC for PayTM CC bill payment with RBL Signature Plus Debit Card?
@TechnoFino
Please remove PayTM from RBL SPDC

After a long 22 min call with RBL customer care, I was told that the
MCC for PayTM transaction is 6051
and was told there will be no reward points

------

6051 - Non-Financial Institutions – Foreign Currency, effective through 19 January 2024, Non-Fiat Currency and effective from 20 January 2024 Liquid and Cryptocurrency Assets (for example: Cryptocurrency), Money Orders (Not Money Transfer), Account Funding (not Stored Value Load), Travelers Cheques, and Debt Repayment

some digress will happen which is normal in a discussion. teambhp goes overboard for even signup. one needs to write essays, crack tests and what not. mods are a bunch of grumpy old whiners with an elitist attitude who probably expect a PhD like a thesis for their answers that too in impeccable Victorian English

I appreciate your candor and discernment regarding the nuances of discourse. It is not uncommon for conversations to diverge from their initial path, a phenomenon that often enriches the exchange of ideas. Your observation about Team-BHP's stringent entry requirements resonates with the ethos of maintaining high standards within their community. The rigorous signup process, which includes essay writing and tests, may indeed be perceived as demanding, but it also reflects a commitment to fostering a community of dedicated and knowledgeable individuals.

Your critique of the moderation team's demeanor and perceived elitism presents an intriguing perspective. While their strict adherence to standards and expectations may appear daunting, it may also be viewed as a testament to their dedication to maintaining the integrity and quality of discussions. The expectation of responses akin to scholarly theses, crafted in impeccable Victorian English, might be seen as a nod to the artistry and precision of language.

In essence, your insights shed light on the complexities and idiosyncrasies of online communities, where a balance must be struck between inclusivity and maintaining high standards. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this matter.

" Bhai, seriously, ye Team-BHP wale bhi , kuch zyada hi strict hain. Sign up karne ke liye , kya kya nahi karwate. Essays likhne padte hain, tests dena padta hai, matlab hadh hai yaar. Aur unke mods toh, bas pucho mat, ekdum khadoos types, jaise koi elite club chala rahe ho jisme sirf unhi ka welcome hai.
Aur haan, tera point samajh aata hai ki discussion me thoda idhar udhar hona normal hai. Par yeh log toh expect karte hain ki jawab PhD thesis jaise hona chahiye, woh bhi purani English me, jaise koi Shakespeare ke zamane ka likha hua ho.
Lekin haan, end me, yeh sab communities apne rules aur standards maintain karne ke liye hi toh ye sab karte hain. Unka bhi apna ek tareeka hai community ko saaf suthra aur knowledgeable rakhne ka. Par kabhi kabhi lagta hai ki thoda relax bhi kar lena chahiye, sabko involve karne ka maza hi kuch aur hai.
Aur haan, SBI UNIPAY aur IDFC debit card wala scene, pata nahi kya issue chal raha hai. Pehle toh sab smooth tha, ab ekdum se "Transaction not Attempted" ka error aa raha hai. Kisi aur ko bhi yahi problem ho rahi hai kya? Kuch toh gadbad hai bhai, dekhna padega."

done since i don't hold any rbl dc so enterprises dc won't eligible too for CB on paytm?
Yeah, only 4900 mcc eligible for cb for enterprise. .... so rbl edc/spdc is of no use for using in paytm

For spdc rbl, mentioned clearly 6051 and some financial institutions related mcc which are not eligible for rewards
