HDFC Grievance confirming charges using Priority Pass on domestic lounges, have responded them back asking why Infinia Metal benefit page still showing up wrong information and from when this change is applicable and why users are not being notified regarding the change in lounge access if there have been any changes recently.

Lets see what they reply back.

Call me crazy but this email doesn’t even once mention the word Infinia. Without that context, these rules have been true for all CC except Infinia for years. You should confirm this specifically for Infinia in a followup and ask from which exact date are these charges effective for this specific card.

It's not always about getting the brownie points buddy and what brownie points...who cares. With PP not being allowed domestically, ppl might be concerned about additional privileges that come with Infinia being curtailed like faster entry into the lounges, access to arrival lounges and so on. Moreover, some travelers have used PP to access domestic lounges recently. Most of folks here simply trying to seek clarity here.
Posts don't give you points like cards do. Any post is ok as long as it's adding some value or making some sense.
Agree, I too used pp domestically recently

But I don't think bombarding the bank with questions by everyone is the right way to go
Everyone asking the same question also raises flags and highlights certain things to management which sometimes causes decisions to be taken which they weren't even thinking of.

If someone has mentioned they have sent a mail or have called and talked and are awaiting response the right thing to do is wait instead of just jumping to send hundreds of mail to them

Sending emails to the bank is a different thing than making posts for brownie points. People, incl. myself, have written to the bank to seek clarity as customer care's responses have been pretty inconsistent. Also, it's about making them realize that a formal communication to the card holders is required in case of such changes or this may lead to a bad PR and customer dissatisfaction. You may recall, when GVP was continued in Dec '24, some people spoke to CC and also emailed them which led to reinstatement of the program.

Also agreed, but that was dissatisfaction with some confirmation of gvp closing, this is dissatisfaction for something that isn't even likely true
You'll ask questions so cs will reply something or the other with no consistency
There is no confirmation that pp cannot be used domestically, no communication of the same has been done
If anyone sees the charges then we can say we've been wrongly charged

In the current case as many people have said it could've been guest swipes that were charged and OP never confirmed if it was that or not

Unfortunately someone merged threads pertaining to 2 different topics. One was about OP getting charged on his PP in Nov '24 which has nothing to do with the recent change and the other is about the bank prohibiting the usage of PP for domestic lounges. For the latter, our folks are trying to get some clarity so that they don't get charged retrospectively and also trying to express their disappointment on this forum which is ok

Unfortunately the mod in question (@sidp) is too busy shutting people up and defending himself for merging totally unrelated threads, on grounds that the guy got charged for November usage in March because HDFC is applying this PP change retroactively!! I can’t believe this is the level of basic financial knowledge and logical abilities of our new moderators here @TechnoFino.

Yeah. My thread of Infinia PP Devaluation should never have been merged with this thread. I tried explaining to the mod about the difference, but to no avail. Now people are confused after seeing the first page, and the last few pages, as both of them are not related at all.

As Priority pass on HDFC Infinia has now recently been donwgraded where it now only allows only visits to International lounge access and Domestic lounge can still be accessed via Infina credit card.

I just want to know will a visit to Mumbai International Airport Lounge be considered as a domestic lounge visit or comes under International Visit?
All lounges for international flights which are located within India are domestic lounges.
You are outside India only when you leave Indian Air space

Sad, but just got this official revert from Customer Services, no more PP for domestic lounges. Posting the link the Lounge Tnc in the email.
"We regret to inform you that you are unable to use"...

Messaging always open to interpretation...
This was the only one.
Now no Priority pass issued by any bank in India will give free Lounge access within India
I think PP from Olympus allows.

This email nailed it!
If you dare to use your Priority pass in India, you will definitely get charged almost 2800
It's all open to interpretations. Not sure if they answered the query in general or specific to Infinia.
Oh no it is true, the terms have been revised

In the same email there is a link to the latest MITC updated on Mar 6. https://www.hdfcbank.com/content/bbp/repositories/723fb80a-2dde-42a3-9793-7ae1be57c87f/?path=/Personal/Pay/Cards/Credit Card/Credit Card Landing Page/Manage Your Credit Cards PDFs/MITC 1.64.pdf

The latest MITC says lounges on the priority pass is complimentary for both primary & add-on. Also, yesterday I had a chance to talk to the escalation mgr. and he told me that nothing has changed and Infinia card holders can continue to use both card and PP at domestic lounges and until we get a formal communication from the bank. He told me that he was on a recorded line and that had received concerns from several people and the same has been clarified with the products' team.

For me the business is as usual until I receive further updates on the matter.

As was expected.

Please cut the clutter:

The relevant portion of the MITC is as under:

"K) Lounge Access Priority Pass - Charge of $27 + taxes, will be applicable on all the lounge visits exceeding the complimentary limit. Infinia, Infinia (Metal Edition): Complimentary priority pass membership for Primary and add-on card holders with unlimited lounge access for priority pass card holder. Diners Club Credit Card - All visits exceeding the complimentary limit will be charged at the prevailing lounge rate inclusive of taxes. Card validation charges for the lounge will be levied and not reversed.

Please ensure the safety of your Priority Pass to avoid misuse. The priority pass is not transferable. Bank has the right to withdraw the Priority Pass membership, or any other benefit associated with your credit card if your card is closed or remains inactive for more than 90 days. These charges will be billed on your subsequent statement within 90 days of date of visit and this transaction will not accrue Reward Points. Currency conversion rate is applicable as on the date of settlement. Complimentary Lounge Access Within India for BizBlack Metal Card and BizPower: Biz Black Metal Card: Unlimited lounge access eligible on making min one transaction of any amount in previous month (excluding first month of card issuance) Biz Power: two complimentary domestic lounge access every calendar quarter, additional two complimentary domestic lounge access (excluding first quarter of card issuance) on min spends of Rs.75,000 in previous calendar quarter."

I have got double confirmation from the BH and ZBH that there is nothing like paid visits using PP of Infinia, as of now. They have informed that the product team has been consulted by them and there is no any confirmation about the discussion of paid PP in domestic lounges.

However, one thing is sure that keeping in view the queries that they have been receiving and the pessimistic approach, the bank can definitely think that they could do so.

When did I shut you up? Did I delete your message? FYI your personal attack doesn't affect me.
Yeah. My thread of Infinia PP Devaluation should never have been merged with this thread.
1st of all you, @theXfactor and another member had created duplicate threads. The topic you wanted a separate thread was originally posted by another user. Therefore all your threads were merged with his thread.

He himself first posted the same message in this thread. Later created another thread( the thread where your thread was merged) and deleted his post here.

The confusion happens when 5 people create same thread without once searching about it (or atleast check latest threads) And we recieve merge report on it. I guess the temptation of being first trumps everything.
