ICICI Savings bank CIBIL enquiry

Hi experts
I was trying to open a savings back account for ICICI bank on Imobile application.
Application got timed out midway. Later i got a message as below

CIBIL Alert! Your CIBIL Score and Report was checked by ICICI BANK with ECN:******** on 2024-07-26 19:08:07. Not you? Visit www.cibil.com/enquiry -CIBIL

Will this enquiry effect my CIBIL score?
If yes how can avoid this and resume my application so that enquiry will not be done again?

Not much, you can safely ignore. don't worry much unless you have 10-15 enquiries in last 3 months.

make sure you're clicking savings bank account not some loan/credit application. savings account doesn't need CIBIL enquiry, if its false positive report and if not honored complain to ombudsman.

- look for banking complaints to learn more about ombudsman.

Also will soft enquiry also show up in the credit report?

soft enquiry does not reflect in cibil .
This enquiry is hard enquiry with ECN:********

there is no soft enquiry concept in CIBIL report, that is for online portals to write about articles and on-paper, it won't visible in cibil report. In India everything that report to Cibil is enquiry only (or if you prefer call it as hard enquiry).

Have they resumed saving account opening online?

I too opened privilege account via imobile which was successfully opened .

Later received same cibil hard enquiry.

So , raised a dispute in cibil and complained to icici PNO.

Got the cibil enquiry removed in 15 days.
