Axis Vistara Infinite Credit Card Devalued - Gold Tier Membership Affected

Vistatra anyways will merge with air India better to keep air India good card. There is no point in keeping card when renewal comes if not using the card. Paying 10k to keep gold status makes no sense for bank nor Vistatra, it's like pay me and use and keep the card or else just cancel the card. Anyways the fight for business class tickets or gold status etc all thrown off and end of discussion, people will come in normal ques in coming days. But due to merger I don't think this card will hold long enough. Once merger completes take an air India card which has best access and tire holding.

yeah.. they aggressively sold and now probably burning cash.. i think hdfc infinia strategy of keeping it aspirational / exclusive at high fees but good benefits is the way for premium cards.. axis went all out and now paying price.. same thing with magnus...

the only plus point in keeping this card was for gold tier. Now that they will not provide it from year 2, I think downgrading to signature would make more sense.

But am torn between the two cards. Infinite gives more cv points than signature.

Is there any other co branded vistara card that would make more sense now ?

idfc wala u can try i guess tha also gives decent reward rate + first 3 month i guess some bonus points also there

Given this I will be most likely closing the card before the next renewal. Most of my revenue flights are Indigo but paid by this card now have to search for a new card again

These 3 and the Vistara Infinite will be closed and maybe ACE & RESERVE in or will search for a better option. AXIS has been a disappointment & they will totally spoil CITI CC's also I am sure.

BTW I will also state the use cases for these card:

Privilege = Multi-Brand Vouchers for edge rewards
Magnus = Movies offer
Atlas = Airlines or Hotels Website buys
Infinite = Gold/CV Points/Main Card "Offline"

and yes I have 4 AXIS cards together.

Axis Vistara Infinite has also been devalued now . 15000 tier points is a lot . This card is done !!

I do have an Infinia, MRCC & Plat Charge but the 3.3% on Infinia and the fact that AMEX does not work mostly anywhere is a huge issue "I use it for fuel mostly".

SCB ult has been devalued and that 2% < 3.3% of Infinia. DCB also has issues in acceptability but not as bad as AMEX which people disable payment services for due to higher MDR.

I too hold this card. I kept it to give my family experience to biz class and it was worthy. I got 3 biz class tickets last year and from that 1 is still remaining to be redeemed. I was planning to renew it for 1 more biz class ticket and gold membership. Gold membership helped my family last year for excess baggage, biz class counter check in, early boarding and class upgrade vouchers. Since I dont met conditions to continue gold membership, I have 2 options now:

1. Continue with same card and downgrade to silver tier which has some lesser benefits which is still ok but I will get 1 biz ticket.

2. Close this one and apply 1 for family member, so that I still get biz ticket and gold membership + 10k cv points (1 lac spend milestone).

Thankfully several banks have vistara co branded cards. Time to compare all of them and then take the one that gives the best value and earning rate.
