DCB LTF vs Infinia FYF?

I am being offered Infinia FYF. I currently have DCB LTF. But my annual spending is 2-3 lacs max in various sectors mostly from Amazon and bill payments.
For Amazon, I always use Amazon Pay.

Since annual spend is less, better to stick with LTF DCB.

At any point in time in future, when your spends are higher, you can move to Infinia....

As long as you paying ZERO ... and getting good return rate with DCB... That's where the max joy is

Else if you dont mind the extra 12500+GST, and still want to reap the benefits of higher return rate....
You choose....

For Amazon pay, Infinia is much better. And you're already getting 12.5K points on fee payment so I don't see any reason to not go with Infinia FYF

That's also a reason for upgrade if he wants to consider

But point here to note is, HDFC has gone violent these days.

I believe they might remove 12500 renewal benefits soon.

They already removed lounge access.

Also removed LTF offer for new customers for any HDFC card.

Exactly, like Magnus they might remove 12.5k renewal benefits on Infinia so not willing to risk it.
At least DCB is LTF but if it is gone I can't get it back.
If you can't get both, then one should go with ICICI emerald metal alongside DCB.

Understandable. Axis has given everybody else a free hand with its destructive devaluation for Mangus.
If HDFC removes the renewal benefit then it isn't useful for low spenders.

Yes, HDFC is on the way to earn max MDR from users.

Exactly, that's why I am thinking of trying for Emerald metal based on ITR & keeping dcb till it holds its value.

Like infinia they will pay 12.5K points worth that much rs. So only GST paid.
Also 3% on general spends as statement credit is very good.

You should not lose much on DCB for that kind of spend. The rewards are almost equal on both the cards. Infinia is also almost free as you get equal reward points (Minus GST) buy you have to spend them on travel in case you want 1:1 returns. Unless you want bragging rights and DCB acceptance is an issue for you, DCB should just be fine.

I don't think so, for a person who has 2-3L spends, let's say he buys infinia -> he pays 14750 fees and gets 12500 pts.
These points value = 6250 (as he has major spends on amazon) so probably converting them to vouchers as flight/hotel is not needed for him.
So he has to recover fees of 8500 which would be hard to recover on less spends.

Also infinite lounge access is available on dcb for primary & add on.
What I believe is cards like Infinia, Magnus, Emerald Metal, Amex Platinum Travel are not even meant for someone whose spends are so less. These cards are beneficial for high spenders.

Also as you said, they might launch new super premium cards in that case I believe Infinia might become easier to get.

Slight correction. Primary and addon cannot simultaneously use the same lounge using DCB. It has been reported by many members now.. This won't be the case with Infinia as that gives PP for every add on. But it's not a dealbreaker if not intended to be used for this specific case.

Actually I have used it multiple times with DCB. For me and 2 members using my same DCB card.
