Hi Can anyone share the latest list of card which does provide point/milestone benefits for Rent Payment

I am aware of
Hdfc Infinia(1 transaction per month is free) -> No Reward Point will be credited
Sbi Vistara Card(199+tax for each rent payment) -> Vistara Point will be credited and will be counted in Milestone

Any other card?

Indusind VIstara Explorer Card & other super premium cards from Indus - might be the only few remaining who decided not to charge any fees on Rent Payment. See attached file.
In my view 1% fee or flat 199 is not a big deal as long as the reward are given. Issue is that there is fee as well as no rewards for fee is very high as compared to reward. For eg IDFC which has 1 RP and 1% fee, we will end up paying Rs.5 per 200 Rs of rent (including GST and rent platform fee), and will get only 1 RP for the same. This is a shitty deal by any stretch of imagination. Only saving grace here is milestone benefit.

On other hand, if I have to pay same fee on Diners black or Infinia or Standard Chartered ultimate, and get the points, it is an OK deal. Though you won't get significant benefits on points but you can defer all your cash out flow by 1 month. But unfortunately, all these card which have good reward rate, have stopped giving reward points and have started charging fee.

Hence now there are hardly any cards which makes it worth to use CC for rent payment even for cash flow management.

As per info available on Indusind website, Club Vistara Card is excluded from Rent Surcharge and already it gives only 1 point per 200Rs spend on (

Spends on Utility, Insurance, Government Payment, Fuel) categories hence they have not devalued it any further.

I agree with you that 199Rs is still good in case of SBI VIstara Card as 2% points and milestone benefit will cover that amount.

So, for SBI Vistara, only 200+GST will be charged by SBI. The rent payment app (Payzapp here) will not charge any surcharge/fee on its platform for rent payment?
Redgiraffe will charge 0.39% fees and SBI will charge 199 + GST. Payzapp is not charging anything extra. So, here we are paying 2.39% + GST for 10k rent payment.

Thanks @tryabp.....still a better deal as it will help reach milestones faster to get a ticket (if someone's other retails spends are low/moderate) :)

I paid rent through RG+PayZapp using a Standard Chartered Smart CC, it gave 2% cashback as promised and is counted towards milestones.
It has been 2 weeks already and already a new statement has generated but there is no sight of any rental surcharge from SC's side.
Don't know if the particular MCC is not being categorised as rent by SC.
I'll update in case if some surcharge is levied.

There is just one "Rent" MCC - 6513. So maybe you got lucky with a different payment gateway. Or maybe the charges are coming.
