Hi Community,
On what platforms is Sapphiro card issued like Visa and Mastercard i know but which variants of visa and mastercard can anyone let me know if they have sapphiro card on visa or mastercard then…..

I had the visa variant initially which I converted to dual variant

If Amex is non serviceable in my location, is it possible for me to covert my Sapphiro Visa to Amex+MC ??

take dual
and mostly they will suggest dual only , as that is default now

It’s just the Amex network , nothing with Amex serviceable area

I mailed CC for replacing Visa with MC+Amex variant and gave them the reason that I already hold another Visa Signature card from ICICI (MMT).
But they declined my request stating that variant change is not possible.
What should I write in my escalation mail ?

Update:
After finally fighting with the icici guys and knocking all the doors and mailing here and there i got my Mastercard converted to Visa Sapphiro.
Its been a long time. I mailed them the first time on 24th march and today i got the confirmation that my Visa card is generated. Need a lot of patience....

After finally fighting with the icici guys and knocking all the doors and mailing here and there i got my Mastercard converted to Visa Sapphiro.
Its been a long time. I mailed them the first time on 24th march and today i got the confirmation that my Visa card is generated. Need a lot of patience....

Rn it is active the cc guys have told that once visa card is delivered kindly raise cancellation request for mc but i am thinking if i dont then both will be active😂😂

Is 50% higher PAYBACK points, the only reason for selecting dual variant instead of visa or is there anything more to it ?

As, PAYBACK points are anyway not that great, and AMEX lounge list too is quite short as its co-branded card, So could you please help me with the though process as to why dual variant would be better than single card (even number of lounge entries are same in both)

My reason for dual card was completely aesthetics , Amex logo looks awesome in Sapphiro .
Plus I wanted to try out some possible bugs on BMS and other portals with add-on and all
Plus as I am credit card collector , the more the merrier the LTF's

As, I thought keeping 2 cards in wallet for same account seemed foolish

Happened with my uncle (he owns Sapphiro Dual) where the restaurant POS didn't accept AMEX and so, he had to pay with SBI card

btw, do you have info about Rubyx Dual variant ?
it has Railway lounge access, so is it 2 access per quarter per card i.e. 4 per quarter in case of dual variant or 2 per card account ?

I think Rubyx is also offered in dual , but I am not sure about the railway lounge access.
The reason ICICI offers the dual is because of low acceptance of Amex in India , so they gave MC as a floater with the Amex version .

Someone should only carry the MC version and keep Amex only for online or international transactions, sometimes lounges like Irish house etc do accept the ICICI amex version also , which are premium lounges and only gets access through PP/lounge key or business class tickets , so that could be another use of ICICI Amex cards with lounge access , plus Amex keeps running some offers online and then the ICICI version Amex also gets through the discounts.

First i didnt receive amex due to ban then rn for bms we ger cashback after 2 months... Whereas for visa we get 1000 discount flat movies. My use case was purely for movies since i mostly watch movies in imax 3d or 4dx version for hollywood.. so i get full 500 max amount discount on 2nd ticket....
