How to get a lifetime free ICICI Sapphiro credit card?

Is there a way to get Sapphiro credit card LFT? I hold Mansister united Visa Platinum with an 8L limit.

Yes, Platinum/Coral/Rubyx/Sapphiro all under single account in CIBIL unless you close any account and re-apply as fresh.

How did you had 2 IDFC cards that too Select and Wealth?

IDFC Select is my original CC; I also happen to had OneCard powered by IDFC, and when their tie-up with IDFC ended, they were moving all their users to Federal/BOB/SIB, basis consent; However I didn't agree for that, and at the end OneCard closed my card, and IDFC sent me a Wealth CC as a replacement. So now I (along with few others like me) happen to have both Select and Wealth.

I just got Sapphiro LTF last month and had also written a thread about it. You just contact ICICI Credit Card Team, share the salary slips and that is it. They told me that a salary of more than 2L pm will get you Sapphiro LTF.

do you hold salary account them ? or they just need salary slip and account with any other branch is fine

I don't hold Salary Account with ICICI. Mine is with HDFC. They just want salary slips.

I finally got the Sapphiro LFT.

I sent an email to customer care requesting LFT, and they said I need to spend more than 6L to get LFT, and my last year's spending was 6L on my existing ICICI cc. The conversation was still going on, and they sent me the card.

Confirmed via email and its LFT.

Not sure. If your last year's spending is more than 15 Lakh, then give it a try.

I got LTF Sapphiro with a little less than 2L salary, applied through an agent in branch. In his app it was showing LTF for me so applied. I can share the agent's number if anyone wants. I already had Amazon Pay ICICI and Coral LTF. And Coral is not upgraded to Sapphiro, this is a new card. Although the limit for Coral and Sapphiro is combined I thinked.

Exactly. I spoke with him and he only checked the preapproved offers available on my account. Nothing else. He told me to cancel all my cards with ICICI and wait 6-8 months for an LTF offer. He also told me that he himself is waiting to get Sapphiro offer in his own bank account. In short, he won't be of any help, avoid an unnecessary hit on your cibil.

Actually I didn't, on my app it was showing me to upgrade my coral to paid Sapphiro, but when I applied through agent, it was showing LTF on his app.

This can be due to sharing salary slips and company name with the agent while applying the card as I don't have a salary account with ICICI. So they might have old info stored on my profile.

Could be. In my case ICICI is my Salary account, so no information was requested by him.

For icici bank credit cards, you won’t get much help from agents . ICICI has a pretty straight forward setup , when agent applied for the card , in payment and fees there are 3 options which gets automatically filled and they can’t do anything on that

1) Full Fees
2) First Year Free
) Life Time Free

The same is true for all variants of cards starting from coral to Emeralde . For getting Life time free as default , only criteria is your employer if it has tie up with icici bank and you have the required salary say 2 lakh for Sapphiro ( plus minus 10-15 that depends on your profile ) , your application will get automatically filled as Life Time Free and you don’t need to negotiate at all.

So if you want icici card LTF either it will be via employer route ( Till Sapphiro ) , other wise you will have to speak to your BM/RM so that they can get the required approvals for LTF card so that when you apply , the LTF option gets pre-filled based on your registered mobile number selection.

Agents does not have any power in ICiCi to make your card LTF PERIOD.

I've Rubyx credit card since 2017 & it was issued with Mastercard & Amex variants. But, when I received sapphiro card, it was only Visa.
Could someone clarify, whether ICICI has stopped issuing AMex variant of Sapphiro card ?

Also, I do not see any difference in the reward rate between Rubyx Mastercard & Sapphiro Visa. Shouldn't sapphiro card reward rate be higher than Rubyx ?
