HDFC seems to have launched a new set of products for Freelancers / professionals / Gigsters. On a high level looks like a rebranding of existing products with decent value.

I am really not sure what their product head is sipping!
They announced it as this is the most innovative launch by them in recent years and actually it turns out like any other business card with changes in features here and there!
When they actually wake up and be innovative!!!

(Before they launch any other card, they should atleast have a dedicated app for managing the cards !!!)

I have recently opened this GIGA account as instructed by HDFC representative over phone.
new to HDFC Bank, at it has AQB (Quarterly) of ₹ 10000, but in statement it shows AQB/AMB Expected is Rs 0.00
I cannot understand what's the issue here anyone can help

Is AQB/MAB free for this account ?

Note : Tried to upgrade or downgrade to SavingsMax or Pragati Krishi account through xpressway but received an error message,
so upgrade or downgrade is not applicable to this account can anyone clarify ?
Note : Have an FD of 1L in this account.
Note : Completely digital account opened online branch has no clue for such account, representative over phone from Mumbai guided me to create account online.

You either need to maintain 10K QAB for urban & 5K for rural or FD of 1Lakh for Urban or FD of 50000 for rural & you can use this account as zero balance as NMC will be waived off till your FD amount is 1Lakh/50K depends on your location.

I have a query can I switch this GIGA account to Pragati Savings account by HDFC ?
As I only use this account for UPI and DC Payments that's it.
Earlier Farmer savings account is now Pragati Account can it be opened in Urban Branch ?

How did u opened giga earlier?
Online means where to select account type ?
Everywhere till kyc it goes like normal account only

Giga opened online by reference code from Mumbai HDFC representative
Online in Xpressway service from HDFC lot of bank related activity can be done like KYC and address update and all that.
Account is new and KYC Done by fetching Adhar and VKYC did it in 5 min A/c activated same day of VKYC

Branch Says it can be upgraded to any higher variant that is available in urban location...
but Pragati Savings account is available for semi urban and rural, not for urban or metro
I live in urban in state capital 😆
Solution i Got : for Pragati account first I have to transfer account (giga account) to rural branch then switch to Pragati Account
As it has to rural branch for Pragati

NOTE : During Account Transfer online HDFC added new rule that Branch should be located at the same place where the communication address on KYC
is mentioned. in account holder details 😡

Or else I will waiting for new employee in branch so he or she can do it....

This isnt a New Rule its there since ages, or you have to provide a local communication current address and verification might hsppen on tha to address...

Do they give any business card to this account? Like biz black?
Out of all the 3k sip is easy for all and also a saving habit to participate market
