1. CL requirement increased to 10L.
2. If your CL is increased to 10L recently in last 6 months, then this won't work.

I have tons of questions.

1. Do we need ITR/Salary even if Imperia/infinity RLV/TRV requirement is reached?
2. Is CL/Spends criteria increased only in case of imperia/infinity?

Normal sending email to grievance, is 8L limit still works?

Is Infinia really that good. I have Diners black plastic LTF. Don't use Smartbuy that much and with Diners never actually faced acceptance issue. In fact for lounge domestic and international only the card is sufficient, no need to carry priority pass.

Not for someone who doesn’t use it.

If you don't use Smartbuy. You don't need Infinia.

My BM was telling me this criteria and I told him it was either or and not both salary + spends & limit. I thought he wasn’t aware but then I realized I was too aware of the new criteria.
Anyway, banks don’t want many people holding such cards, as majority spends on accelerated rewards and other premium features which is a loss to the banks.

Very well said. It is actually a normal and a regular card for me. Now I've started to buy zomato, Uber and swiggy Gyftr vouchers not exceeding 15k per month. But tickets and hotels I use Diners black but on Ota.

Very few vouchers I buy from Gyftr. For hotels and tickets I mostly use Mmt and booking.com and my Diners Black is LTF plus no priority pass required for lounge access.

DCB PVC was issued as LTF through Alumni Offer . That card is now replaced by DCB Metal which is normally issued as FYF.

I'm wondering since they're not willing to budge for Infinia upgrade i should upgrade to DCB from my Regalia gold? I don't really use smartbuy. The unlimited lounge seems like a worthy reason to upgrade.

What are your normal spends? DCBM would be FYF. Only take if you can get fee waiver for next year or at least hit 4L in a quarter.

Can easily hit 8-12L spends. I already spent 12L in last 6 months but the idiots at hdfc increased the limit criteria to 10L from 8L (mine is 9.5L). Even the pno is refusing to budge so wondering if makes sense to just go for dcbm instead.

Yes. If you don't use Smartbuy extensively and spend 8-12L then DCBM is a better choice than Infinia

You wont lose much. Plus chance of getting 40k total reward points in a year if you hit 4L every quarter.

Nowadays Diners is as good as Visa/MC in India. Even tier 3 city merchants accept Diners. However, in Europe, Diners is rarely accepted.
Amex is still the worst.
