Applied for Rupay Cashback credit card | HSBC bank agents are careless

Applied for rupay cashback credit card, already holding platinum visa cc, got it applied through our MNC office bank agent,

Just like last time, their form filling has so much issue, last time they updated my office email id and this time they updated my address format different

They sound like goons and work like illiterates.

s hsbc agents are worst , i have asked them to apply rupay platinum but they processed rupay cashback as they get more commission as its a price card

now i need to find way to spend 10k within 30 days to reverse my joining fees

I have live+ and customer care called me said they couldn't issue rupay cashback as maximum limit assigned to me.
Similar case with me.
Initially, HSBC was not willing to issue a new Rupay Cashback card, stating that I had already reached the maximum credit limit on my existing cards (platinum and live+). I then requested them to reduce my existing credit limit to 30% and issue a new card. After a long wait, they finally agreed — they reduced my existing card limit from 8 lakhs to 5 lakhs and issued a new card with a 6 lakh limit.

hi @cc24x7 i too had this issue

since you have reduced the limit but i have a doubt or clarification to you , has hsbc informed you that if you reduce the limit , you wont be able to increase the limit in future or you wont get any default limit increase

Are you aware of this ?

@Everybody can someone confirm if such a bank policy exists that if you reduce the limit , you wont be able to increase the limit in future or you wont get any default limit increase ?

Future limit increases depend on the individual's spending pattern and salary/income growth. There is no such condition, but the minimum duration for a limit revision is 6 months. Within this period, they cannot increase your limit.
