@cardio_guy this is another drama trauma of hoarding points on rewards cards. @D₹V s (Devalue eward Value) as they like.
yes, this risk is always there. Not just with Accor, but with any partner hotels or arilines. This is one big thing to keep in mind while using points based cards. Point devaluation, transfer limits, redemption value, etc can vary a lot. That is why in my other thread also I wanted to highlight to keep it simple and take as it comes. We can take it in 2 ways again - keep the 5% and 10% cashback categories as is. Move all other 1% cats to points based cards and fuel and other excluded cats through vouchers.
For an infrequent traveller who just stays around 10 nights a year in some hotels, all these memberships will not matter much. Just use whatever is available at the time of use. Redemption or burning itself is a huge ocean. There are so many things to consider. For example in flights, look for award seat availablility, point transfer timelines, transfer ratios and limits, booking process, waitlist clearance, and a lot more. (Maybe hotels are little easier).

please post this there, i have some points to add. i mean points thoughts not reward points.

30% food bill discount is gonna hit couple travelers, might be slight better for larger families, but I am guessing most of their user base would be couple travellers.

1+1 personally doesn't bother me much as I never really used it for super expensive properties, usually something part of my itinerary anyway, but guessing it will impact a lot of users who use this to enjoy that "luxury" once in a while.

Good thing they are not devaluing points, else we would be screwed, given INR depreciation, it is getting better

Increasing cost to 19k makes no sense. Guessing they already got lot of customers from India.

They are offering a refund to anyone who doesn't want to continue BTW on the details page.

I think 1+1 is fine in a way since 1 day trips are rare and changing hotels is a hassle, but what's the worst is that they have increased price while not increasing the value at all. Points devaluation would be devastating.
