Just saw two notifications today morning. Luckily international transactions were not enabled. What need to be done??
Note: It's a Lifetime free HDFC DCB Metal Card so worried about getting this blocked and getting a replaced with new card with Annual fees 😕

Request a replacement.

If card is already LTF, replacement will also be LTF.


Also how did you get DCB Metal LTF?

You can ask the bank to block and replace the card with different details via email or call. Tell them the details might be compromised. The new card will stay LTF, no need to worry about it.

While requesting a replacement, ask them specifically to replace with a different number and CVV as HDFC can issue a card with same details (happened with @TechnoFino). Record this call, so that incase they send an identical card, you can raise a complain.

Also how did you get DCB Metal LTF?

I got this card back in 2023 when my Imperia HDFC RM offered me a upgrade from Regalia Gold to DCB Metal(Paid) due to both good spends on Regalia aswell as I took her Tata AIA insurance policy.

As this metal card initially had annual fees so I did not activate the card knowingly then within last few days from 1 month activation period,she called me to activate it but I told her to make it lifetime free or else forget about it then she budged to my love and affection towards her 😏 # Mutual Love and Respect 😌

Call the helpline and connect with Fraud txn option. Tell them your card was tried for fraud txn, and ask them to replace. it would be ltf only and you would get card with a new number

Pls change the title to "My HDFC card details Compromised"...

Also, if you check RBI annual report, 99.99% cases the details are compromised because of our mistake i.e. using CC at unauthorized sites etc otherwise banking system is completely secure and in rest 0.01% case, bank compensate the customer

Request a replacement and make sure to select "card lost or stolen" as the reason.
They will issue a new card with a different number and CVV. If your card is LTF (Lifetime Free), the replacement will also remain LTF.

I do keep limit to every card for domestic transactions like 500-3000. I change everytime when it has to use and make it back the same amount

THis feature really saves.

Earlier citi bank called me and informed me that my card may get compromised and replaced, when they noticed few cards got compromised.
Ask them if it happens only to you or more

Are you sure about if the card is ltf replacement is also ltf..?
