I am silently closing my Ashva after exhausting the District's offer this month. One thing to say, the card was the most significant one after Mayura & Times Black in my wallet. Will keep it as collectible.

Thanks for reminding. Just submitted closure request for Mayura. Yes it was good looking but I don't think I ever pulled it out of wallet to swipe!!

Not really. Their DC line up is pretty solid but can’t be compared to their CC counterparts in the same segment for eg DC Private to CC Private

I asked them, they bluntly said no retention offer, that's why I asked my BM to offer something against the fees he is looking at it with the product team, renewal on 24th August.

Not even a call, leave alone retention offer. Card is closed on 7th day. This must be most peaceful and smoothest card closure till date.

Actually I lost my card some where in my home , unable to find . So 7k (renewal ) + 3k ( replacement fee) to use it again in future international trip . So planning to close it anyway.

Wondering will they allow us to apply again after 1 year or not .

Update : i found my card .
Now I am in dilemma of whether close it or renewal. This is the only card which will gives 3.3% on offline spends ( above 20k , else 1.66% still better returns than anyother card ) . And my this year international trip plan also started . No other my cards have 0 forex with 3.3% returns . Moreover i have 20k rewards points , if I don't use it for booking tickets then the value reduced to 5k rs else i can use it as 10k , even if we adjust based on instant discount on other cards I see as value of those rewards points as atleast 7.5krs .

There is a decent use case for you. And you have some recent revaluation for travel bookings.

Yeah , last year i exhausted my 1.5L limit during my singapore trip using mayura credit card , this time country not decided yet , just now talks started with my wife which country to visit . Will update here by next month .

Btw , I have one more card offline but not sure that offer will be extend or not .
Card : HSBC debit salary account 5% cashback on both online and offline spends . If hsbc extend this offer (since it's gonna end this month end ) , then 70% chance that I will close mayura card .
