To receive the 5% CB on the Super Debit Card spends you need to credit 5k every month in a single txn, thats one of the main criteria for it.

Although I am aware of that, but I did it only for first 1-2 months. Then I stopped and kept on receiving

May month mai zomato-amazon ki trick nhi thi. June mai aayi hai, if you did zomato-amazon in may then 6540 mcc tag hua hoga = no cashback for you.

So I reviewed my spends and found out that out of 2 of the Amazon purchases that I did, 1 did not get considered for cashback because "description" mentioned its "Amazon Pay India Private" vs "www amazon in". Even though both the Amazon purchases were regular purchases, the merchant through which payment is going is randomized I guess. Very unfortunate. I am not sure if this can be disputed?

P.S: I have sent them a mail at Level 1 with transaction details of what txn they did not consider for Cashback.

Received a call from Kotak. Essentially they said that if your purchase gets tagged with "Amazon Pay" then you are f***d.

Even if I can provide them proof of purchase showing that its a physical item and not Utility/Wallet load/any ineligible transaction, they wont consider it.

No, as per tnc Utility payments are not included for the cashback.
Where should you use?
How would we know what your expenses are? Plan according to your expenses. All excluded categories are clearly mentioned in the tnc, just read them and see if there is anything left for you otherwise forget about it and make peace with it. Claiming cashback for every card is not mandatory.

Well seems like that transaction got tagged as wallet mcc, happens often in amazon. Nothing can be done now. Sad for your loss

Haven't seen wallet mcc ever like that in amazon, else HDFC Millenia and SBI cb wouldn't give me cashback

Lotak t&c say they scan narration as some merchants use wrong mcc😂

So mostly they are interpreting correct mcc but seeing narration are treating it as wallet

Contact them with proof and should get resolved.

Yes, maybe they are blocking merchant name instead of mcc. Amazon india private limited has different mccs in different category.
