Credit Qatar flights to British Airways for family pooling?

Does it make sense to credit qatar flights in business class of family members to BA for their household/family pooling feature?

BA just for pooling all family miles. Will not travel BA. Will travel QA mostly. QA family pooling gives only 50% family member miles. Or costs to transfer miles from member to member.

Hmm... Or maybe I should credit to QA individually, transfer to linked BA accounts which are part of a family pool and then book QA from BA or transfer back to QA and redeem. Not sure if this is all possible. Will need to look into it. So much complexity though haha.

Transferring Avios to BA family pool and booking QA flights on BA platform works same as QA. Points from family accounts are debited in a particular ratio with no option to exhaust them. This also means that you can't club points with BA and then move back to Qatar. However, you can transfer points from other BA family accounts to one account with a transfer fee of 50 GBP per account and move to QA.
