Suggest me a credit card for offline jwellery purchase

Hello, I will be purchasing a small amount of ornaments tomorrow - (two earrings) for my mom.
We will be exchanging one old broken earring and the final cost after exchange is expected to be somewhere below 60k.
We will be purchasing from either Bhima or Tanishq (For long time, my mom is saying Tanishq Gold is good quality, so thinking of going there).

I plan to use one of the following cards:
  • HDFC Tata Neu Infinity
  • HDFC Swiggy
  • ICICI Amazon Pay
  • ICICI Sapphiro
I wanted to know - How should I make the payment so as to get the best return?
  • Swipe the card at the POS (ICICI Amazon Pay gives 1%)
    • {If it is Tanishq, will I get 5% if I swipe TNI card?}
  • UPI QR code scan (Tata Neu Infinity gives 1.5%)
  • Buy gift voucher (how/where to buy? I am not sure of this)
Are there any better methods to make payment?
Looking for suggestion on which card to use. Which card will give the best return?

You will get 5% on TNI direct swipe in tanishq. Last year I got it. If you are getting vouchers for more than 5% discount, then you can do that. But first check if that voucher can be used for gold earrings or not.

Just a thought. Use TNI to buy gold coins from tanishq and then from your local dealer you can buy anything in exchange of that gold coin.

Its only for tanishq, if you purchase from another it will be 1.5%

Check in terms about apay, maybe jewellery is stopped as in many cards except hdfc

Since you are going for gold jewellery exchange :

1. Tanisq has higher quality gold yes but their making charge is also really high. Since you are going for earrings , tanisq would not have too much of a collection IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ONLY GOLD EARRINGS. They have a lot higher collection of gold + diamond mix or gold + gems mix. If you are going for tanisq - 5% via Tata neu infinity like everyone suggested. Tip - if it's your bday or anniversary or anything, they usually give like 5% additional discount if you request.

2. Compared to Tanisq , bhima would be cheaper and would definitely have more gold earrings collection . If it's Bhima you going for , try either apay (1% it's still working I think) or tata neu .

3. Yes you can buy vouchers , but since you are exchanging old jewellery, not sure how it would work. But if you do want to do it , maximize has tanisq vouchers and you get 5% cb. Or you can get bhima gift card from woohoo for 2% ( not sure if it's still working ) . You can also buy bhima voucher from Amazon website using Amazon pay balance.

Thanks everyone for the inputs. Yes Tanishq making charges are a bit higher.
Another option i thought is to buy online from tanishq through tata neu app. Then it will be 10% because of the app. But difficult to convince mom about model and style 😭
They want to touch feel see and then buy.

Thanks for pointing out about tanishq models stock and other factors. We might check in Bhima if that works out. Anyway I will update the thread. Thanks.

Do you know if Gold earrings with studded diamonds are eligible for purchase using Tanishq gold jewellery voucher. Store is not saying upfront and only if I have GV already available, they will be able to check and tell. Is this the only way ? I have TNI, EPM card and iShop points with which I can buy Tanishq gift card.

Do Tanishq accept online bought vouchers for purchase of earrings along with their Gold scheme redeem?
