Yes Bank sent an SMS for resolution of a disputed transaction from 2021, for a card I do not own. Should I raise Ombudsmen complaint or ignore?

Yes Bank sent this SMS below (last message) for resolution of a disputed transaction from 2021, for a card ending in 6666 that I do not own.
  1. I do not recognise this card - 6666. I have never owned a Yes Bank (or any other card) ending in 6666.
  2. I was not even a customer of Yes Bank in 2021. I got the Kiwi Yes card last year.
Response from bank PNO -
"As per revert received from concern team, we would like to inform you that the Alert SMS was not sent from our end."

This is BS because the top two SMS are legitimate and validated, they belong to my existing card. Which means that SMS sender VM-YESBNK-S is legit.

What do I do next?
  1. Should I file a RBI BO complaint, if yes, under what category and what description?
What I want from bank - Clear email stating that I have no association with the card 6666 and any related customer ID. Any liabilities now and in future related to this card shall not be owed by me.

Ignore, HDFC too have sent irrelevant messages in past.
Thank you, done.

Btw, what happened to that PNB cheque case
Unfortunate set of events really. Neighbour got no money back from anywhere.
  1. We complained to RBI BO, police station etc. Everybody ghosted.
  2. 3 months later, another similar case came up. Likely by the same fraudsters (they used same names as they did in our case). This one was 100km away from us.
  3. In this second case, 1.6L was stolen. The victim got everything done - FIR, paid a lawyer to fight the case, complaints at all levels of bank. No resolution that we know of.
  4. We connected with these victims as well, they agreed to fight a joint case. But it got nowhere.
Just sad and disappointed.

Ohhh, so heartbreaking. There are so much issues with banking industry in India, that it needs a massive reform. From account freeze to online scams to even physical ones. Everyone just raises their hands until they personally feel the heat.
