If you have a Mastercard ACE they won't allow you to upgrade. Didn't even allow me to upgrade from RESERV quoting the same reason.

Yes Bank MARQUEE Credit Card

As you guys already know, YES Bank is revamping their CC protfolio recently , I took a dive and got their latest offering "MARQUEE" CC in the Premium segment ..
I am NTB to Yes bank until now...
I actually liked the name of the card and also its physical appearance.. very appealing looks ...

I got the card mainly for its Unlimited International Lounge Access ( for both Primary and Add-ons) and some reward points for Govt Transactions.
Online Spends rewads rate is also good @4.5% ( if redemeed for Flights and Hotels @0.25)

As I am NTB to Yes Bank, I will learn more about different redemption options soon ..
On the paper this is a very good card for its intended purposes as of now..

Approval is easy peasy.. punch in your details, it comes up with the eligible cards depending upon your CIBIL profile.. No income Docs required.. Card will be delivered in about 3 working days...
*you will only get 2 cards to select from depending up on your eligibility .. one among them would be BYOC( Build Your Own Card) along with other core card...

Where does this fit in the hierarchy:

It is the Top level card under their ( Premium Card Offerings) .. you can see this here:

Thank you. I did read and understand that lounge access is available with this card.

My question was, since I have an Infinia, should I add this to my portfolio? I don't see any better reward rate when compared (just looking at joining/renewal fee recovery).

One should have a backup especially going abroad scenario.
For online purchases you have 4.5 % return.
8 guest lounge access as welll.
What else you want for net effective renewal fee of ₹900

Advantages over Infinia:
1. Better online spends reward rate of 4.5% (when smartbuy/ gyftr cannot be used).
2. Forex markup of only 1% (forex transactions online would yield a net 3.3% return after adjusting markup, kind of unheard reward for international transactions).
3. BOGO on movies with 800 per ticket (too good to enjoy PVR Gold/ Luxe/ Inox Insignia/ Imax).
4. 8 guest lounge visits. Very few cards seem to offer this!

And joining rewards worth 15k after paying only 11.8k. You are more than breaking even in the first two years.

And on top of all these, very easy to get when compared to infinia , if you don’t have one already

Thanks.
1. I use SBI Cashback when I cannot use Gyftr
2. Forex markup is good.
3. I have multiple cards which offer BOGO up to INR 500 (Sapphiro / Burgundy DC / Citi Gold DC etc.). But yet, none of them gives 800/-
4. 8 guest visits. This is amazing.

I guess I may as well just go for it.

Actually you made a good point here..according to my JF/AF recovery matrix, this card is now effectively 4YF card… ;)

4YF = 4 Years Free card…

After paying JF = ₹3,200 profit ,
3 years loss of AF = 3*900 = ₹2,700

So making the card 4 Years FREE (and still left with a change of INR 500 for the desert....)...

How does 8 guest visits work in this card? At same time do they allow 3-4 guests together?
Because sometimes I travel with my wife, daughter, parents and in-laws. Using my different cards, I can get lounge access for 3 people at same time. Would be of great help if I can get lounge access for 3-4 more people at the same time.
