SBI isn't giving simplysave not because of you, because it's SBI. SBI do same things to everyone. Proceed offline through branch, hold a good sum in savings in your name, otherwise apply the card in your parent name. They initially decline, email to customer support explain you hold good sum for 3 yrs, you are a valuable customer etc etc. if not move up higher, email to grievance redressal explain the same. If not move to PnO. Most of the time PnO solve this issue unless you have a big problem in CIBIL or spendings. Your chance is higher for cashback with good limit of you doesn't hold any SBI cards.
Next time apply at the airport, they don't do physical verification if you already hold a savings account with SBI. They check your cibil, do a vkyc and issue your card.

I tried all that you said and nothing seems to work.

But for real if the agent doesn't give me the simplysave card after two months its game over for me and SBI.

No. He still want to wait for SBI. I don't want to interfere with his decision, but I believe with this much salary he should open a savings account to more rewarding banks like HDFC or Axis or ICICI. Now HSBC is also an option.

I completely agree with you that the mentioned banks are better. I honestly want to move to HDFC or HSBC but my father is still hell bent on Kotak for whatever reason so I'm just going with that if this card thing keeps going in circles after two months.

I understand your situation. You can request to move a large sum to HDFC/HSBC or any similar bank also staying with SBI with the remaining sum.
