VS is currently running a offer of providing upto 70%( tiered bonus ) on miles purchase
5000-24000 - 20% bonus
25000 - 69000 - 40%
70000-124000 - 60%
More than 124000 - 70%
Normally VS allows purchase of upto 100k miles but under this offer you can get upto 200k miles
Cost of miles is 1000 miles can be bought at 15 GBP
There is an additional cost of 15 GBP per transaction
For illustration
If you are purchasing 25000 miles that would cost 375 + 15 GBP = 390 GBP ( roughly 39000 INR )
And that would give you 40% bonus of extra 10000
In 39k you can buy 35k VS miles
Now what can 35k Vs miles get you
If you are booking a Del/BOM - LHR till 3rd October and travel date till 1st Dec you can get one way economy at 7500 and Premium Economy at 13600 VS miles
Taxes one way for economy is at 109 GBP and PY is at 187 GBP
So in 15k VS miles you can get yourself a economy return to LHR
If you are not interested in booking now
You can book later too , in 35000 VS miles you can get a premium economy return trip to LHR with 374 GBP as taxes
So in total 39000+37000 = 76K INR you can get PY ticket to LHR which would normally cost around 1.8-2.2 lakhs
VS miles can also be used to redeemed against ANA,, Delta and other Skyteam like Air Kenya etc.
It's a good deal if you have planned US, UK , ZUR, CDG or other such destination travel.
