[Suprisingly] Good experience with RBL CC Network change

Hi everyone,

So I recently got this RBL Shoprite LTF CC (via RBL Offer posted here) which I intend to use only for merchant offers. The card was on mastercard. Just to try the RBI network change thing, I dialed up customer support and contrary to popular belief it was a seemless process. They took my request and I could see the RuPay card on App the second day. All my unbilled Txn were visible confirming it's not a new Card (acct). Customer support confirmed that everything related to card will remain same including the Fee.

RBL Shoprite is on RuPay Select (I think) but no Wellness benefit I suppose.

The reason I created a post is I didn't expect the process to be this simple and smooth and that too from RBL bank. Credit where it's due.

Call again and ask if the card is ltf now

Nah. Reversed fee for Mastercard so that they can charge again for the Rupay variant.


Btw Rupay variant started showing in the app yesterday after almost 5 days of wait. Waiting for despatch.

there maybe closed account from switching to rupay.

Today RBL added one more account in CIC (Cibil). Closed account added related to that closed card.

Wew, this sucks tbh. Similar case with axis for inactive cards added to CICs.

No idea about it. Have ltf cards overall.

I have RBL Bookmyshow and RBL Duet card.
I have tried rto convert to rupay but they refused even I asked to convert card to shoprite but even they also refuse.

Any solution for my problem 😕

I have tried and retention team taken request to downgrade to shoprite card and later they will change card to rupay.

But I have not received any service request number through sms

Today evening I have received the call.
They agreed downgrade to Shoprite Visa Non LTF card since no ltf offer available.
Once the card is issue then they will be able to change network to rupay.

Also stated that the existing Play credit card will be closed

Yes,But even they accept my request to convert to Shoprite Rupay card. UPI feature is good.
